Malaysia’s 10th prime minister is facing arelentless Opposition out to topple him and his Unity Government daily.
PN, a useless racial-religious bigoted Opposition
KUALA LUMPUR, May 6, 2023: Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has been facing relentless Opposition to destabilise and topple his Unity Government (UG) since taking the hot seat.
He has been ignoring constant rumours and talks plotting to bring down his UG, focusing on administering his Government to help bring Malaysia to greater socio-economic heights.
However, today, he decided to warns rumour mongers and plotters, Opposition politicians - especially the PAS-Bersatu Perikatan Nasional (PN) politicans and leaders - who continue to stir political shit.
Anwar said: “Don’t sabotage (the Government). We have given (you) room and if (you) try to interfere, we will act accordingly without compromise.
“ I am fed up with constant rumours of plots to bring down the UG. Politicians and their parties are free to table a motion of no confidence against me in the coming Dewan Rakyat (Parliament) sitting in two weeks.”
And that is rightly so because that is what a parliamentary democracy is all about. That is the right platform, not abusing media and social media to cause political havoc and sabotage the Government’s efforts by spewing racial and religious sentiments.
Clearly, the only reason why the Opposition is not using parliamentary democracy to topple Anway and his UG is because they do not have the numbers in the 222-seat Parliament.
All they are trying to do now is to cause political instability, using racial and religious sentiments to shatter national unit. Is that a reliable and constructive Opposition - one that is thinking of the interest of the rakyat and Malaysia’s social-economic progress?
Is that a responsible Opposition who is working for the rakyat and country?
Five states will be holding elections next month or in July. That is the best opportunity for peace-loving Malaysians - not racial and religious bigoted Opposition politicians and individuals - to send a clear message that there is no room to continue with “sabotage” but to be a constructive and responsible Opposition to help steer Malaysia to greater socio-economic progress and development.

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has challenged those who want to topple the Federal Government to move a vote of no confidence against him during the coming May 22 Parliament sitting.
The Tambun MP said he needed to put a stop to talk of a conspiracy to topple the unity government, which could sabotage and destabilise the federal administration.
"I challenge those who want to topple the unity government, I will face you all, bring the motion during the Parliament sitting but with one condition - let this be the last so that we can focus on developing the country," he said in his speech during the Malaysia Madani Open House at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Permatang Pauh on Saturday (May 6).
He also warned his detractors not to sabotage the Federal Government and promised that the unity government will take action accordingly without compromise.
He said he chose to face his detractors in Parliament, unlike previous prime ministers.
He said the unity government led by him was still strong with the support of 148 MPs and stressed the legitimacy of the government was intact.
Anwar was referring to a report by a portal that a group of Barisan Nasional MPs who previously supported Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for prime minister after the 15th General Election (GE15) were involved in a plot to overthrow the unity government by quitting their seats to force by-elections.
The portal said some Barisan MPs were being wooed by certain individuals and persuaded to take part in a “do-or-die mission” to sacrifice their seats and quit their respective parties.
On April 25, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who is from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), denied any intention of toppling the unity government led by Anwar.
He said GPS leaders, including Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and himself, had repeatedly made it clear that their priority was political stability.
On April 28, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who is also Pakatan Harapan secretary-general, said that the unity government was intact and functional.
He flatly dismissed the rumoured threat to topple and remove Anwar. - The Star
