MyPPP, why do you even want to join the racist Umno-led BN?

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3, 2024: Why does MyPPP even want to join/need the Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN)?

In the past two general elections, more and mpre Malaysians have rejected BN until even Umno is left with only 26 parliamentary seats in the 222-seat Parliament in the last general election (GE15).

The racist Umno is heading towards political irrelevance, just like the MCA and MIC - struggling to win a seat in Parliament.

To the new MyPPP president Loga Bala Mohan, it will be better for your party to forge a new coalition of smaller parties for GE16 (including those in Sabah and Sarawak) which must be held in 2027.

Do it fast so that there is enough time to prepare for the GE16 electoral battle.

MyPPP and its coalition would command much more respect and acceptance than the racist BN-Umno.

As it is, multiracial Malaysians have no choice but stick to Pakatan Harapan (PH) which has become arrogant and has turned around on its promises for constitution and governance reforms.

At least, those wanting to dump PH and the unacceptable Taliban-like PAS and its racist Perikatan Nasional (PN) led by the unpatriotic Muhyiddin “I Am Malay First” Yassin have a choice to teach both PH and PN a lesson in multiracial politics.

So, Mr Loga, why join a bunch of racist losers! Build a new coalition, like what PKR did!

MyPPP can woo voters who don’t believe in race-based parties, says Loga

PETALING JAYA: The People’s Progressive Party (MyPPP) has dismissed claims it would be ineffective as a Barisan Nasional component party as it had no influence on voters.

Newly elected party president J Loga Bala Mohan said MyPPP as a multiracial party would be an asset to BN, especially in wooing fence sitters.

Umno, MIC and MCA as race-based BN components had their own roles to play, but it is limited to their respective communities, he said.

There are those who do not believe in race-base parties and we can be an option.

MyPPP, which left BN in May 2018, has applied to rejoin the coalition. On Sunday, BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the BN supreme council will discuss MyPPP’s application.

Loga dismissed analysts’ views of MyPPP’s ineffectiveness as being personal opinion.

Lau Zhe Wei of International Islamic University Malaysia said Loga’s party would not be able to bring anything to the BN table, compared to MIC and MCA.

However, Azmi Hassan of Akademi Nusantara felt that MyPPP held better sway over Indian voters compared to MIC but expects MIC to object to MyPPP’s application to rejoin BN.

The People’s Progressive Party was formed in 1953 and is currently believed to have about 320,000 members in 119 divisions and 3,119 branches.
