Public Statement
The recent heartbreaking incident of Kuen Cheng High School’s student falling to her death caught wide attention from the general public.
Today, it has come to our attention that two videos circulated on social media had been trying to link and connect bullying cases of several girls with the incident for the purpose of misleading the public and spreading false news.
Kuen Cheng High School hereby announces: Those unknown girls who appeared in the videos are not students of Kuen Cheng High School, and the location where the videos were taken is unknown and is completely not related to Kuen Cheng High School.
We have lodged an official report with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
Kuen Cheng High School calls on the public to view the matter rationally, be cautious, and cease in spreading unverified information to avoid causing baseless fear and misunderstanding. Kuen Cheng High School reserves our rights to take legal actions at the appropriate juncture against whoever spreads false news.
Thank you.

PETALING JAYA: The father of a student who died after falling from the eighth floor of a school in Kuala Lumpur has denied that his daughter had been bullied.

“That girl in the video is not my daughter. I urge everyone to stop spreading (such claims). Thank you, he said in a Facebook post today.

He was referring to a one-minute viral video showing several girls hitting and kicking another girl, allegedly in a school toilet.

The father also called on the public to stop sharing his late daughter’s final video message.

Last week, the Kuen Cheng High School principal’s office confirmed that one of its students died on its premises and said an investigation was in progress.

Police subsequently classified the case as sudden death after ruling out any foul play in the student’s death.

Those who are feeling stressed, distressed or have any emotional problems should seek help from doctors, or reach out to Befrienders at 03-7627 2929.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7, 2024: Police were quick to rule out any foul play in the death of a 14-year-old student in SM Kuen Cheng in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 1.

Brickfields police chief Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said the student fell from the eighth floor of the school’s building and medical officers later confirmed the student’s death.

But four video clips have now surfaced, allegedly showing the student was a victim of school bullies and possibly was thus driven to suicide.

If the student was a victim of school bullies and was thus driven to suicide, then the cops must investigate and possibly charge the bullies with manslaughter.

Far two many fatal incidents have occurred in schools and education institutions and the authorities have “covered up” the incidents without taking any action against teachers and school managements.

It is time to seriously hold school managements responsible for what has happened or are happening in schools for anything untoward in schools, especially bullying in school premises.

How can school managements claim they do not know anything about gross indiscipline and what is happening in their premises?

View the above video clips and judge for yourself whether it is time to hold teachers and school managements responsible for gross indiscipline and bullying in their premises.
