Jailbird Najib a billion-ringgit thief, does not deserve to be pardoned!

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21, 2024: Much have been reported and speculated by the media and public on disgraced former premier Najib Abdul Razak’s appeal for pardon.

No logical and sane Malaysian would approve the jailbird’s freedom just like that, without having to serve his full 12-year jail sentence for his role in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) financial scandal, touted as the biggest ever in the world.

Only those with vested interest and stand to gain in some way will want him freed.

Also, till today, Najib has shown no remorse for his mismanagement of 1MDB that was grossly costly to the rakyat dan negara (people and country).

At least some Malaysians may give him sympathy if he had, at least, help the Government recover as much of the loot as possible that were stolen from the so-called Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF).

The following were found posted on Facebook that accompanied the above image:

WHY NAJIB DOES NOT DESERVE ANY PARDON

Malaysians are outraged by the actions and implications of Najib's involvement in the 1MDB scandal. The impact of such corruption on the Malaysian public cannot be understated.

It's crucial for justice to be served and for those responsible to be held accountable for their actions. The idea of a royal pardon for such significant offenses is simply outrageous.

It's important for the legal system to uphold integrity and fairness, ensuring that any consideration of pardon takes into account the gravity of the crimes committed and the profound impact on the nation.

Malaysian's passion for justice and accountability is evident, and it's vital for the voices of the people to be heard in matters of such significance.

All reactions:

> Scandalous if they pardon the world’s No 1 Kleptocrat . He does not need sardines he prefer the billions from 1MDB;

> For a person who steals he should get the punishment he deserved. If he wants a pardon then every other chap who committed such felony should also be pardoned. The existence of the judiciary is a big farce; and

> I don't think he stands a chance with the crown changing heads in just over a week.
