No News Is Bad News
Good bye and a million thanks!
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 13, 2026: It is with deep regret that No News Is Bad News has decided to stop posting from today.
The reason for this decision is because it is a waste of time, energy and effort to try to contribute to nation-building with a Government that prevents free flow of news and information, and constructive criticism.
And the Madani Unity Government (UG) is as guilty as the past Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN) regime since Merdeka (Independence) 1957 in restricting the rakyat (people)’s Constitutional Rights for freedom of speech and religion.
Facebook and Malaysia’s Communications and Multi-media Commission (MCMC) are working together to do just that, and also with all other digital social media.
And Facebook and MCMC are extremely smart in doing that, especially to bloggers who share their news and thoughts. Perhaps that is why the blogging community is fast shrinking.
The moment your blog posts go viral, they do everything technically possible to restrict access to your posts and also use tactics to frustrate and make life miserable for you to reach out to the rakyat. (read as netizens).
I have noticed the following issues:
> When you share a post on Facebook, the image goes missing, only the link appears;
> The headline does not appear and is buried;
> The link is faulty or disabled;
> Netizens’ access to your blog is blocked selectively.
It does not matter that the majority of the posts are pro-UG and Pakatan Harapan (PH).
The federal governments (elected every five years) do not fancy bloggers getting prominence as they want total control of news propaganda and mindset.
Like what the federal governments have achieved is to embolden the racial and religious bigots, who have been brainwashed since Merdeka and they now follow blindly and stopped using their brains.
They are unable to tell the difference between right and wrong, honesty and dishonesty.
So, it is a total waste of time and energy to try and rouse and raise them to face political reality.
Social-economic retard is the only way forward.
So, we wish to say Good-bye and thank all or readers who have viewed this blog.
I have been a journalist (reporter and editor) of various local and foreign newspapers since 1979 before retiring and turning to blogging to keep myself sane and preventing dementia.
I guess I will have to find other ways to do that, like doing more physical exercises and playing games!
I leave you with 2,554 posts that attracted 945,587 page views, thus far.
Perhaps, I may once a while post news and issues that seriously affect multi-racial Malaysia.
So, my request to readers who have viewed our posts, click the Follow button on this blog to keep in touch for any new posts.
Reformasi dan jumpa lagi, God permits!
