Finance Twitter: Time for Umno to sack its racist and religious bigoted youth chief Dr Ham
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 11, 2026: International socio-political website Finance Twitter has posted a stinging feature on the racial and religious bigoted Umno youth chief Dr Akmal “Dr Ham/I Am Malay First” Saleh.
Is Akmal a traitor, mole or just a big talker?, it asked.
The report also opined that it was time for Umno president and Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to sack the “racist mad dog” who’s a threat to national security.

Akmal Saleh: Traitor, Mole or Just a Big Talker? Time for Zahid to Sack the Racist Mad Dog – Threat To National Security
11 January, 2026
According to Finance Twitter , Before Akmal Saleh was given the green light to organise the UMNO Youth convention last Saturday, apparently the party has set two conditions. First – the meeting cannot discuss a withdrawal from the unity government. Second – the gathering cannot criticize Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. UMNO president Zahid Hamidi said it would be a no go if the youth wing disagreed with the conditions.
However, when UMNO Youth Chief Akmal opened the convention, he claimed that the assembly had been approved by Zahid. Worse, he also claimed that Zahid told him that he would back calls by grassroots members to exit the unity government. Akmal tried to point fingers in response to claims that he did not get Zahid’s blessing to hold the convention, and that he was going against the party leadership.
Notorious for playing the dangerous games of racial and religious hatred, Akmal said – “I want to make it clear – Zahid was the first person to agree to this convention. I told him that if we were to ‘pull the handbrake’ and leave the government today, he would be the first to be targeted. But Zahid told me that if this is what the grassroots want, he is prepared to fight all the way.”
During the gathering, Mr Akmal has not only instigated party members to quit the Anwar government and pushed the UMNO leadership to leave the Unity Government, but also proposed that the party unites with the opposition Islamist party PAS to become a “dignified opposition”. But insiders said while the president approved the convention, he disagreed over the resolutions to exit.
Barisan Nasional secretary-general Zambry Kadir said any proposals made at the UMNO Youth convention, including those concerning the party’s position in the unity government, would have to be decided by UMNO’s Supreme Council. But on Tuesday (Jan 6), the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) announced that the party will remain part of the unity government until the next general election.
The matter was discussed only during UMNO’s political bureau – not supreme council – meeting on Monday (Jan 5).
It sends out two signals – Akmal’s call for his party to withdraw its support for Anwar-led Pakatan Harapan government and align itself with the opposition bloc was urgent enough to be addressed promptly, but “not critical” enough to be brought to the supreme council – the highest decision making body.
UMNO under Zahid leadership could be trying to assure PM Anwar that Akmal’s outburst was just a storm in a teacup after the mini crisis was reported by international news media, potentially affecting political stability and foreign investment. Zahid may have no choice but to throw Akmal under the bus after majority of the UMNO top leaders did not respond positively to Akmal’s proposal to quit.`
It also means that Zahid, who is also Malaysia’s deputy prime minister, finally saw the urgent need to contain Akmal’s notoriety after allowing his mad dog to bark and attack minority Chinese ethnic in the past 3 years – leading to the total wipe out of not only Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Anwar’s People’s Justice Party (PKR), but also UMNO’s poor performance in the recent Sabah state election.
Still, someone appears to have lied. Did Zahid really warn Akmal not to go overboard and set the two conditions before the UMNO Youth convention was allowed to proceed? Or did Akmal twisted Zahid’s words to make it as if his boss had agreed to pull out provided the majority of the 1,500 party members who attended the convention wanted to jump ships to the opposition?
It’s hard to believe the UMNO president did not know his errand boy was going to propose that UMNO quit the Madanistan government anyway even after the conditions were set. It’s also hard to believe the UMNO youth chief did not know his boss has little intention of toppling Prime Minister Anwar after Zahid’s 47 charges involving multiple counts of criminal breach of trust, corruption and money laundering were temporarily shelved under DNAA.
Amazingly, today (Thursday, Jan 8), the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) suddenly announced that Zahid’s DNAA (discharge not amounting to an acquittal) has been upgraded to NFA (no further action). It’s not rocket science that this is to reward the UMNO president for rejecting Akmal’s proposal to quit Anwar government, which means it has been nothing but a Zahid-Akmal political melodrama.
Either way, Mr Zahid has to severely punish gangster Akmal to prove that the drama at the UMNO youth convention was not merely political theatrics orchestrated by him. Rather than giving the racist Akmal a slap on the wrist, the UMNO president has to show who’s the boss in charge by setting an example that there’s a “red line” that cannot be crossed – betrayal and disobedience of party president’s order.
Failure to act against the troublemaker – widely believed to be a mole sent by opposition Perikatan Nasional to undermine and destabilize the unity government – would paint Zahid as a weak leader who does not even command the respect from a junior leader like Akmal Saleh. Worse, it would embolden Akmal to continue sparking unrest and inciting hatred to weaken not only Pakatan Harapan, but also UMNO.
Make no mistake – Akmal is a threat to national security. Only in Madanistan is he given a blank cheque to terrorize non-Malays without any repercussions because both silly Anwar and Zahid thought their boy was doing them a great favour in swinging Malay votes at the expense of minority ethnic Chinese and Indians. In fact, Akmal should be sacked.
Mr Zahid argues that UMNO does not want to repeat past mistakes by forming alliances with opposition parties. The mistakes were obviously referring to the betrayal of PAS, who despite having formed an alliance with UMNO in Muafakat Nasional, had also secretly formed yet another alliance with Bersatu in order to balance the influence of UMNO.
If the primary reason UMNO cannot work with PAS is because the Islamist party was a traitor, then Zahid has even more reason to sack Akmal because the UMNO Youth Chief too is a traitor for working, promoting, and supporting an enemy of UMNO. Zahid in turn is a traitor of UMNO if he refuses to fire a known mole who openly endorsed PAS, whose intention is to destroy UMNO.
Crucially, Akmal falsely claimed UMNO members had been hurt by the Anwar administration for denying justice for former Prime Minister Najib Razak, even though the jailed crook had been convicted twice for stealing billions of public funds in the 1MDB scandal. Akmal also blames the Madani government for mocking former King Sultan Abdullah’s decree, even after a High Court has ruled that the royal addendum was defective and invalid.
The UMNO youth chief argues that the Malay dignity was insulted – crossing the “red lines” involving race, religion and royalty. Akmal also said that the Malays were angered by several recent incidents, including socks bearing the word “Allah”, incidents of upside-down national flags, and alcohol being served at a government event. Let’s assume Akmal was right with his accusations, which is not.
But if Akmal was right that UMNO-Malays’ dignity has been mocked and insulted, he should now resign in protest over UMNO president Zahid’s rejection to quit Madani and revive cooperation between UMNO and PAS. Not only should he quit as UMNO Youth Chief, he should also resign as Malacca State Executive Councillors (EXCO) to prove that he has dignity.
To show that he is not a coward and UMNO-Malays were indeed very angry over Najib’s so-called mistreatment by Anwar Madani, Akmal should display courage by quitting UMNO and join PAS. Failure to quit UMNO means Akmal is just a big talker who has no balls to defend the Malay dignity after the so-called “red lines” of Malay Institutions, Islam and the Monarchy have been crossed.
Like it or not, Malay warrior Akmal cannot justify not quitting UMNO because the man who betrays the UMNO-Malays is none other than the party president himself. It would be a different story if it was Democratic Action Party (DAP) who betrays UMNO by laughing, mocking, insulting and celebrating former UMNO president Najib Razak’s jailing and failure to get a house arrest.
Instead of toying with the idea that he might “step aside”, Akmal should decisively and courageously resign – even if Zahid rejects his resignation. After all, he is not a Member of Parliament, and chances are he will not win a parliamentary seat in the next 16th General Election because the Chinese community can’t wait to teach him a lesson by voting against him.
At least he could still earn some respect by being the first UMNO Youth Chief to resign in the history of the party. He overplays his hands, and his game has backfired, so any excuse not to quit would make him looks extremely foolish. Like former UMNO Youth Chief Khairy Jamaluddin, Akmal still can become a celebrity DJ and continue to criticize even after he quit.
