Straits Times implies Umno’s a multiple-headed political snake
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19, 2026: Singapore’s Straits Times published yesterday (Sunday) a report with a headline that read Umno fights and befriends rivals, highlighting ‘absurdity of politics’.
To put it crudely, the report is saying the racial and religious bigoted Umno is a mutiple-headed political snake that cannot be trusted.
The Umno-led Alliance/Barisan Nasional (BN) governed Malaysia for some six decades since Merdeka (Independence) 1957.
Yet, today it claims the Malays are still poor and need to unite to safeguard their interests!
With Malay government leaders and Malay-majority civil service, governing the rakyat dan negara (people and country) for 60 years, what has Umno been doing?
Why are only the elite Malays multi-millionaires and billionaires?
With Umno still fighting for the freedom of country and world’s biggest kleptocrat/thief/pencuri, the disgraced and shameless former Umno president and prime minister Najib “1MDB”Razak, Umno is clearly a party that cannot be trusted by the rakyat, especially the Malays.
Umno shamelessly claim they are demi rakyat dan negara (for people and country)? Really? What happened to the billions of oil (Petronas) revenue?
If the poor Malays did not benefit, then who did?
