Racial and religious bigots are oxymorons

KUALA LUMPUR, June 1, 2024: Malaysia is infested with racial and religious bigots who are oxymorons.

They think their God and religion needs their protection when God is the Almighty.

It is the bigots who need God’s help, not the other way round.

Racial and religious bigots are also best described by this:

Even considering our finite senses and the present boundaries of our scientific and technological understanding, the sheer magnificence and vastness of this universe created by God, evokes profound awe and stretches the limits of human comprehension.

Let me put into perspective the scale of God's creation and where humans fit on that scale. The observable universe harbors an astonishing 200 billion to 2 trillion galaxies. Our Milky Way galaxy is just one of them, and it contains between 100 billion to 400 billion stars. Our sun is just one of these stars, and our planet is just one of the eight orbiting our sun. This earth of ours currently has about 8 billion humans and each of us is just one of those billions. So, when we put ourselves on the cosmic tapestry of God’s creation, we are mere motes of dust. The whole of humanity is a fleeting speck in the grand design.

The implication is that if all 8 billion humans were to suddenly disappear from the face of this earth, it would cause less of a ripple in God's universe than a grain of sand thrown into the ocean.

Yet, we often find people jumping up and instigating others to defend God. Against whom? Against fellow humans. This begs the question: given our puny insignificance against an infinitely omnipotent God, who needs help and protection: humans or God? Do these zealous defenders realize the inherent contradiction in their words and actions? That the God we pray to for protection is in need of our protection! That the architect of galaxies, the weaver of constellations, seeks refuge in the hands of dust motes?

These misguided champions, their fervor veiled in delusion and arrogance, unwittingly affront the divine. As they raise their banners, do they not unwittingly insult the very God they claim to be defending? And in their misguided zeal, do they not inflict pain upon God’s other creations, all while invoking God's name? That they believe these acts will gain them favors with the divine is truly a paradoxical tragedy for humanity.

We are in no position to guess God's intentions or design. Would it not be better to recognize our insignificance, and display our humility and subservience to God by treating all of God's creations with respect and compassion?

Or perhaps, it is not about God at all. Could some of these "defenders of God" be nothing more than charlatans, weaving deceit and treachery? Could it be that they wield God's name as a tool to manipulate the gullible to achieve their own nefarious and worldly objectives? That their defense is not for God's cause, but a veil for their own self-interest?

I will never understand why God needs to be defended by humans, but I am very sure that the Earth would be a much nicer place without these "defenders of God."
