KUALA LUMPUR, July 24,2026: The Madani Unity Government (UG) is expected to make public the final report of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH).

Perhaps, when/if the RCI report is made public, Malaysians, especially Muslims who contribute to TH, will know who were the pencuri-pencuri (thieves) who stole multiple billions of Ringgit from the pilgrimage fund.

One thing is certain, and that is those responsible were not aligned to Pakatan Harapan (PH) (View the above video link for details as exposed by staunch reformist Rafizi Ramli).

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today said the RCI report on TH was not released three years ago because the government wanted to avoid undermining public confidence in the pilgrims’ fund board.

Pernah dengar petua lama? “Kalau nak tahu siapa dalang di sebalik sesebuah krisis, tengok siapa yang pegang kunci almari”.

Bila bercakap pasal isu pengurusan Tabung Haji (TH) bagi tempoh 2014 hingga 2018 — isu yang akhirnya memaksa penubuhan Suruhanjaya Siasatan DiRaja (RCI) — ramai yang cuba mengalihkan perhatian dengan naratif yang berselindung di sebalik pelbagai alasan politik. Namun, bila kita buka balik fail sejarah dan tengok senarai watak utama, satu kenyataan fakta yang tidak boleh dipadamkan: kesemua mereka datang dari satu 'rumah' yang sama — UMNO.

Tiada 'penumpang' dari parti lain. Tiada campur tangan luar. Daripada peringkat tertinggi pentadbiran negara, kementerian yang menjaga sucinya agama, sehinggalah ke kerusi empuk pengurusan institusi tabungan umat Islam—semuanya dimonopoli oleh UMNO.

02. BILA KUASA MUTLAK MENJADI BEBAN
Retorik yang sering dilaungkan suatu ketika dahulu adalah kononnya mereka inilah "benteng pertahanan umat". Tetapi apabila RCI ditubuhkan untuk menyiasat ketimpangan dan kebocoran dalam institusi yang menyimpan wang peluh serta air mata rakyat yang mahu menunaikan rukun Islam kelima, dinding benteng itu runtuh sendiri.

Bagaimana sebuah parti yang mendakwa jaguh institusi Melayu-Islam boleh membiarkan sebuah institusi gergasi seperti Tabung Haji diuruskan sehingga menimbulkan persoalan sebesar itu?
— Siapa yang menyemak? UMNO.
— Siapa yang meluluskan? UMNO.
— Siapa yang bertanggungjawab? Talian yang sama.

03. PROPAGANDIS vs HAKIKAT LOGIK
Propaganda politik yang matang tidak perlu rekaan cerita. Cukup sekadar meletakkan fakta bersebelahan :

“Apabila kejayaan diklaim sebagai jasa parti, tetapi bila timbul masalah dan krisis, mereka pura-pura lupa siapa yang duduk di atas kerusi pembuat keputusan”.

Rakyat hari ini bukan lagi golongan yang mudah dikacau emosinya dengan slogan retorik. Bila duit simpanan mak cik dan pak cik di kampung untuk ke Tanah Suci terpalit dengan kontroversi, soalan layman paling pintar yang patut ditanya ialah: Di mana akauntabiliti mereka yang memegang amanah ketika itu?

RINGKASAN TUNTAS
RCI 2014–2018 bukan sekadar medan siasatan teknikal; ia adalah cermin sejarah. Cermin yang menunjukkan secara jelas bahawa krisis Tabung Haji pada era tersebut bukanlah disebabkan kegagalan 'orang luar', melainkan hasil pengurusan kendalian sepenuhnya oleh satu parti politik.

TH RCI report to restore public confidence through greater transparency

PKR Youth chief says the upcoming release of the Royal Commission of Inquiry report into Lembaga Tabung Haji should provide clarity over past controversies surrounding the institution

THE final report of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH), which the government is expected to release soon, should bring closure to the institution’s past controversies and mark the beginning of a more transparent and accountable future, said PKR Youth chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim.

Kamil, in a Facebook post today, said the report should become a turning point for TH to strengthen its governance, uphold integrity and remain focused on protecting the interests of Muslim depositors.

He said the trust placed in the pilgrimage fund must be preserved and restored, describing it as a responsibility owed to both current and future generations.

"That is why the Madani Government has chosen the difficult path of revealing the truth. Some parties would prefer for this matter to remain buried. Some hope that the people will forget this dark chapter.

"But we must have the courage to acknowledge that mistakes and misconduct have occurred. Therefore, our responsibility now is to ensure that those responsible are held accountable," he said.

The government had earlier indicated that it was prepared to release the final RCI report on TH to allow the public to understand the findings of investigations into allegations involving the management and disposal of the institution’s strategic assets.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he would review the decision on publishing the report together with Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

Kamil said the release of the report would be a significant moment for the country, adding that Malaysians had the right to understand the findings of an inquiry into an institution entrusted by millions of Muslims.

He said the investigation was important given the concerns raised over the management of TH and the need to preserve confidence in an institution responsible for helping Muslims fulfil the Hajj pilgrimage.

He added that every ringgit deposited into TH accounts represented the hard-earned savings of ordinary Malaysians, including rubber tappers, farmers, taxi drivers, small traders and communities in rural and FELDA areas.

"Their only great dream is to become guests of Allah SWT," he said. "However, when such a great trust is treated carelessly, what is affected is not merely the image of the institution.

"It is also the hope of millions of Muslims who have saved patiently and diligently for years to fulfil the fifth pillar of Islam," he added.

Kamil, who is also political secretary to the Finance Minister, said the publication of the RCI findings should help rebuild confidence among TH depositors and ensure the institution moves forward with stronger governance, accountability and public trust. - July 24, 2026

PORT DICKSON (July 24): The Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) was not released three years ago because the government wanted to avoid undermining public confidence in the pilgrims’ fund board, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He said publishing the report at the time could have triggered panic among depositors, leading to a mass withdrawal of funds that might have destabilised TH.

“Three years ago, we were not in a position to publish the report. Had we done so, the public could have lost confidence in Tabung Haji and withdrawn their savings.

“However, over the past three years, TH has come under new management led by chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Hussain, who has an excellent track record. TH is now back on a strong footing, but the public still deserves to know the truth,” he said during the Semarak Kenegaraan programme at the Army Basic Training Centre (Pusasda) here Friday.

Also present were Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, Deputy Defence Minister Adly Zahari, Chief of Defence Forces General Tan Sri Malek Razak Sulaiman and Army chief General Tan Sri Azhan Md Othman.

Anwar said the Madani government’s firm stance against abuse of power and its emphasis on good governance were aimed at safeguarding institutions entrusted with the interests of the people, particularly Muslims and the Felda community.

In his speech, the prime minister also highlighted TH’s recovery, noting that the institution had recently been recognised with the Best Haj Management award for this year's haj season.

Meanwhile, Amanah secretary general Muhammad Faiz Fadzil, DAP national vice-chairman Syahredzan Johan and PKR deputy secretary general Saifuddin Shafi Muhammad, in a joint statement, said that the Cabinet should deliberate and decide whether the RCI report should be made public.

“Pakatan Harapan believes disclosure was necessary in the public interest and in line with the principles of transparency and accountability.

“The public has the right to know the facts so that all outstanding questions can be answered comprehensively based on the official report,” they said.

On Thursday, Anwar said the government was prepared to release the final RCI report on TH soon to allow the public to learn the findings of the inquiry into allegations involving the sale of TH’s strategic assets.

The prime minister said he would consult the chief secretary to the government on whether the report needed to be referred to the Cabinet first.
