Racial, religious bigots continue to ‘spew rhetoric’ amid lack of 3R prosecution
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 7, 2023: Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Razarudin Husain has seen it necessary to deny claims of political intervention in 3R (Race, Religion, Royalty) probes.
Well, that is well and good for the IGP to deny such claims as baseless and absurd.
But what about the lack of prosecution and the lack of urgency?
Those who exploit the 3R for political mileage are actually “anti-nationals” out to shatter Malaysia’s national unity and harmony, thus the destruction of socio-economic stability and growth.
So, those who have been alleged to have resorted to spewing racial and religious rhetoric should be swiftly brought to face justice as they are a serious threat to the rakyat dan negara (people and country).
So, why are the police and Attorney-General’s Chamber (AGC) taking so long to prosecute, with the many audio and video clips as evidence.
It’s rather mindboggling to law-abiding and peace-loving Malaysians, to say the least.
No News Is Bad News picks on what the IGP was reported to have said:
> RAZARUDIN notes that no politicians have been charged with violating 3R, making such claims absurd (Exactly, why the lack of swift action/prosecution);
> RAZARUDIN said the prohibition on 3R hate speech applied to everyone, regardless of their political allegiance (Really!!!, how come the likes of the Taliban-like PAS president Hadi Awang, Perikatan Nasional chairman Muhyiddin “I Am Malay First” Yassin, the racist former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad and current Kedah Mentri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, and many other racial and religious political bigots have yet to be prosecuted?); and
> RAZARUDIN claims many cases had been investigated and investigation papers had been submitted to the AGC (Is this supposed to be an acceptable excuse or attitude?)

PETALING JAYA: Police have denied claims that the government has exploited them as a tool against its political rivals by asking them to investigate cases involving race, religion and royalty (3R).
Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said no politicians have been charged in court so far in relation to these 3R issues.
“To claim that the police are controlled by politicians is absurd,” he said at the closing ceremony of the fourth national forensics science symposium for law enforcement at Maktab PDRM earlier today.
Razarudin said the prohibition on 3R hate speech applied to everyone, regardless of their political allegiance.
He cited the case of a 61-year-old man arrested for allegedly insulting the Kedah menteri besar.
“We will not tolerate any side trying to capitalise on 3R issues,” he said.
In August 2021, police arrested a 61-year-old man for allegedly insulting Kedah menteri besar Sanusi Nor over a remark he made to reporters asking them to “sign up to get into containers for the Covid-19 dead”.
Separately, he said the investigation paper on former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, in relation to his alleged insult against the royalty, was submitted to the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) on Tuesday.
Another investigation paper on PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang for sedition was sent to the AGC this morning.
The probe against Hadi pertains to his comments on the authority of the Pardons Board.
