Disgraceful, shameful English in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 28, 2023: Sorry for the cliche … but a picture is REALLY worth a thousand words. And pictures do not lie, unless it has been doctored.
The picture above is indeed telling on Malaysia’s current standard of English.
And, what did our current Government (read Education Ministry) brag about? That our education system is not failing but thriving and successful.
Tak tahu malu! (don’t know shame!).
We wonder what English-speaking foreign tourists think of Malaysia’s standard of English when they stay in Johor's Holmes Hotel.
As one posting on Facebook reads: “There are too many grammar mistakes” … that’s an understatement. It’s not English and neither is it readable.
With an Education Minister and her deputy who only know how to defend the use of "firearms and violence" in schools, you can expect the education system to continue to fail.
This is what disgrace and shameless are all about.
