Fourteen pairs of Made-in-China “Allah” brand socks were mistakenly shipped to Malaysia and found the way to KK Mart. The racial and religious bigoted Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Salleh and Umno are now stirring up the controversy for political mileage, and in so doing, threatening national unity and harmony.

3Rs - Racial and religious bigoted Akmal and Umno, please go look at yourselves in the mirror

KUALA LUMPUR, March 23, 2024: An ex-MP, academic have slammed Umno for backing the actions of the racial and religious bigoted party Youth Chief Dr Akmal Salleh.

Even former Wanita Umno chief Rafidah Aziz has also condemned Akmal for failing to behave as what the great Prophet and Islam expects of him.

And Akmal shamelessly claims: “The boycott of KK Mart convenience stores is meant to be a lesson for anyone who touches on sensitive issues involving the 3Rs (race, religion and royalty).

Akmal! Why don’t you and Umno go look at yourselves in the mirror!

3Rs are applied to every Malaysian, irrespective of race, creed or religion. So, Akmal, continue with your and Umno’s bigoted ways and make Malaysia the World’s No.1 most racist country.

Malaysia is already No.2 in a global survey on the most racist countries in the world!

And, Akmal, what were you trying to achieve with this:

Lawyer and social activist Siti Kasim said: "I recently saw a TikTok video where he (Akmal) was seen calling the Malays to be ready. He was seen sharpening a parang ... this is something the police must act on.

"It is like he is instigating the Malays to create problems. Islam never teaches us all this," said Siti.

That is clearly 3R for Akmal and Umno. So, all sane, peace-loving multi-racial Malaysians, boycott Barisan Nasional-Umno in the next general election (GE16) by giving them the boot with your votes for ABU (Anything But Umno), and also the Taliban-like PAS and the rcist Perikatan Nasional (PN) led by the unpatriotic Muhyiddin “I Am Malay First” Yassin.

Tawfik Ismail and Tajuddin Rasdi say the appropriate punishment on those at fault for the socks issue should be decided by the authorities, not Umno.

Tawfik Ismail (left) and Tajuddin Rasdi have urged Malaysians to ignore Dr Akmal Saleh’s call to boycott KK Mart convenience stores over the issue.

PETALING JAYA: A former Umno MP and an academic have slammed the Umno Supreme Council for giving youth wing chief Dr Akmal Saleh its full backing over his actions in regards to the “Allah” socks issue.

Former Sungai Benut MP Tawfik Ismail and Tajuddin Rasdi of UCSI University said Umno was bordering on taking advantage of the issue for political points.

They called for all parties to wait for the outcome of investigations into the matter and for the appropriate punishment on those at fault to be decided by the authorities, not Umno.

The pair also urged Malaysians to ignore Akmal’s call to boycott KK Mart convenience stores over the issue.

“We are extremely disappointed and disgusted with Umno, which once saved our nation from a coalition of extremist politics. We had high hopes that Umno would mend its past ways but now we doubt that Umno could be a good partner in the unity government,” they said in a joint statement.

The controversy began when photographs were circulated on social media showing socks bearing the word “Allah” sold at a KK Mart shop in Bandar Sunway. The factory that supplied the socks has temporarily ceased operations, while KK Mart management has issued an apology over the socks.

The Umno leadership said earlier today that it fully supported Akmal’s stand on the controversial issue, despite criticism from MCA and DAP over his persistent call for a boycott of the KK Mart chain.

Akmal, who is a Melaka executive councillor, had remained defiant despite both Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his deputy, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, saying the matter should not be prolonged.

Federal police also said earlier today that the investigation paper into the issue has been sent to the Attorney-General’s Chambers.

Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Salleh says the boycott will continue until the Malay-Muslims are truly ‘healed’.

Akmal Saleh says Malay-Muslims are fed up with the endless cycle of wrongdoing followed by apologies.

KUALA LUMPUR: The boycott of KK Mart convenience stores is meant to be a lesson for anyone who touches on sensitive issues involving the 3Rs (race, religion and royalty), says Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh.

Akmal said the Malay-Muslim community is fed up with the endless cycle of wrongdoing involving their religion followed by meaningless apologies.

He said KK Mart should consider venturing into other businesses as he will continue to push for the boycott of the chain, for it to be “felt by every layer of Malaysia’s society”.

“This boycott isn’t just (a lesson) for KK Mart. This boycott is a lesson for any party who tries to play up sensitive issues, which are the 3Rs,” Akmal told reporters at Umno’s breaking of fast event here last night.

“Through this boycott, we hope that there won’t be such incidents any more. The boycott will continue until we are truly ‘healed’,” he said.

The socks controversy arose after photos were posted on social media showing socks bearing the word “Allah” at a KK Mart store in Bandar Sunway. The company’s founder, KK Chai, issued a public apology and the supplier of the socks had also apologised.

However, Akmal said last week he would continue to call for a boycott of KK Mart.

While the Umno Youth chief has drawn flak from MCA and DAP over his stand on the matter, the Umno Supreme Council said last night that he has their full support.

Stop exploiting socks issue, Mydin boss urges Akmal

Ameer Ali Mydin says a boycott of KK Mart would affect investor confidence and the livelihoods of its workers, who are mainly Malay-Muslims.

Ameer Ali Mydin said political parties should distance themselves from 3R issues and not pour oil on the flames.

PETALING JAYA: Mydin hypermarket boss Ameer Ali Mydin has urged Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh to stop exploiting the “Allah” socks issue for political mileage.

“Why is he still kicking up a fuss?” Ameer Ali Mydin told FMT.

“Political parties should distance themselves from 3R (race, religion and royalty) issues and we should not pour oil on the flames.”

He said Akmal’s campaign for a public boycott of KK Mart, despite the chain having issued an apology, would affect investor confidence and the livelihoods of the workers, a majority of whom were Malay-Muslims.

“Both KK Mart and the vendor have apologised. What else do you expect them to do?” Ameer said.

Ameer, who is the president of the Bumiputera Retailers Association, acknowledged that the issue was a serious matter.

However, he said, there was no need for the issue to be escalated, especially by those who were seeking to benefit from it politically.

Ameer is the latest to take Akmal to task over his conduct in this matter.

Yesterday, former Wanita Umno chief Rafidah Aziz described Akmal as a rabble-rouser the nation could do without, while former MCA vice-president Ti Lian Ker, who is now a senator, said his behaviour would lead to Barisan Nasional being viewed by the public with contempt.

The controversy began when photographs were circulated on social media showing socks bearing the word “Allah” sold at a KK Mart shop in Bandar Sunway.

KK Mart’s management apologised over the matter, while Xin Jian Chang Sdn Bhd, the vendor that supplied the socks, has been forced to cease operations temporarily after the Batu Pahat town council suspended its business licence.

Akmal deemed the apology by KK Mart insufficient, and pushed for a boycott. He also demanded that the company put up banners at all of its 881 stores nationwide to apologise for the sale of the socks.

In response, KK Mart put up an apology on the electronic displays and cash registers in all its stores.

Last night, the Umno Supreme Council was reported to have said it fully supported Akmal’s actions on the issue.

Rafidah : “If Akmal Cannot Even Try To Emulate Our Great Prophet , In Terms Of How He Treated Others, Then Akmal Has Not Upheld What Islam Expects Of Him”

22 March, 2024

A former Wanita Umno chief has hit out at Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh’s behaviour following the controversy sparked by the sale of socks bearing the word “Allah”.

Rafidah Aziz said even Prophet Muhammad had shown “exemplary restrained behaviour” when confronted by those who were hostile towards him. She said Prophet Muhammad did not allow his ego to get in the way.

“If people like the Umno Youth chief cannot even try to emulate our great Prophet , in terms of how he treated others, then Akmal has not upheld what Islam expects of him,” she told FMT.

Akmal had previously dismissed an apology made by the convenience store chain KK Mart after photographs of the socks, sold at a KK Mart store, appeared on social media. He deemed the apology insufficient, and pushed for a boycott. Akmal, who is the assemblyman for Merlimau, Melaka, also said he was willing to lose his post to defend Islam.

Rafidah said the nation did not need rabble-rousers like Akmal who would only divide Malaysians. She said the government must not allow itself to get caught in a difficult situation of managing rebel-rousers and should ensure that tensions do not escalate.

“There are already so many pressing issues to address and manage without being distracted by such unwarranted problems, like the socks. Action is already being taken and no one should be allowed to politically capitalise on it. Enough already,” she said.

The photographs of the socks posted on social media last Wednesday had earned the ire of the Muslim community.

On Saturday, the company apologised and expressed regret over the incident.

However, on Wednesday, Akmal vowed to continue calling for a boycott of KK Mart, despite advice from party officials that the issue not be prolonged. He said “no one will be able to stop me even if they try.”

He also demanded that the company put up banners at all of its 881 stores nationwide to apologise for the sale of the socks, threatening a stronger boycott should it fail to comply.

Earlier today, Umno secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the party’s Supreme Council fully supported the Umno Youth chief’s stand.

Congratulations Malaysia … country only a rank away from  becoming world’s No.1 most racist country!

KUALA LUMPUR, March 23, 2024: A global survey by Indexmundi has ranked Malaysia as the world’s second most racist country.

C’mon the Taliban-like PAS, racist Perikatan Nasional (PN) led by the unpatriotic Muhyiddin “I Am Malay First” Yassin and Umno, please work harder to become No.1 or the World Champion of Racism.

And when Malaysia is treated as an international pariah, let us all suffer great socio-economic misery as investors shun the country - now a more than RM3 trillion debt economy (national debt + household debt) (see posting below for details).

The new champion racial and religious bigot is currently Umno Youth Chief Dr Akmal Saleh who has even attracted criticisms from former Wanita Umno Chief Rafidah Aziz for his extremist behaviour.

Rafidah said“Even Prophet Muhammad had shown exemplary restrained behaviour when confronted by those who were hostile towards him. She said Prophet Muhammad did not allow his ego to get in the way.

If people like the Umno Youth chief cannot even try to emulate our great Prophet in terms of how he treated others, then Akmal has not upheld what Islam expects of him.” (Rafidah spoke to FMT)

So, Akmal and Umno, work harder please to “help” Malaysia achieve No.1 status as the World Champion Racist, and watch how the more than RM3 trillion debt-ridden country plunges into socio-economic abyss.
