Sack the racist, extremist and bigoted Umno Youth chief

KUALA LUMPUR, March 2, 2024: The racist Umno Youth chief Dr. Muhamad Akmal Saleh called for the sacking of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister Tiong King Sing.

Instead, Akmal is the one who should be sacked for his oppositional or extremist stance.

And, this is not the first time Akmal is displaying such a disgraceful anti-national unity behaviour, and using false facts.

False because bak kut means meat bones - meaning any meat, not just pork.

Akmal wants Tiong sacked for demoting former tourism director-general Dr Ammar Abd Ghapar to deputy director-general for incompetence and for bak kut teh’s listing as a national heritage food.

If Akmal is so obsessed with what is halal or non-halal, then why is he sending his daughter toa Chinese primary school? Is that halal or is that his next target to fan racial and religious extremism?

Umno should sack Akmal for bringing disrepute in the Madani Unity Government.

He is no better than the bigoted Taliban-like PAS leaders or the racist Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders led by Muhyiddin “I Am Malay First” Yassin.

Tiong hits back at Umno youth chief: Bak Kut Teh isn't limited to pork

KUALA LUMPUR: Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing has rebuked Umno Youth Chief Dr. Muhamad Akmal Saleh, cautioning him against adopting an oppositional or extremist stance.

This came after Dr Akmal, who is also Melaka State Executive Councillor for Rural Development, Agriculture, and Food Security, raised an issue regarding bak kut teh.

"Regarding bak kut teh, 'bak' refers to meat. I have emphasised several times that the herbs used are halal. The type of meat used can vary.

"You can add chicken, and then it becomes 'chicken kut teh'. If you add seafood, it becomes 'seafood kut teh'. If you add lamb, it becomes 'lamb kut teh'.

"Dr Akmal often mentions 'pork bak kut teh'. However, 'bak' refers to meat in general, not just pork. I suggest Dr Akmal refer to a dictionary if unsure of its definition," he said in a Facebook post yesterday.

Tiong said this in response to Dr Akmal's demand for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to dismiss the tourism minister following several issues involving him.

Dr Akmal was quoted as saying that the issues include bak kut teh being included in the national heritage food list and the demotion of tourism director-general Datuk Dr Ammar Abd Ghapar to deputy director-general.

As a leader belonging to the new generation, Tiong said Dr Akmal should evaluate and analyse facts before speaking to the public.

He said, as Malaysian citizens, everyone should respect each other and be more cautious before making statements, considering their impact on national unity and peace.

However, Tiong said issues like this have been played out repeatedly, seemingly only to fulfill personal political interests.

Tiong added that he would not force anyone to violate their religious regulations or practices through heritage food recognition.

"In Motac (the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture), there are also many leaders and staff of Islamic faith, so of course, I deeply understand and respect all parties.

"We should all respect and promote our national heritage. If not us, then who else will recognise our heritage? Isn't diversity and multiculturalism what make Malaysia unique?" he said.

Akmal Saleh - a role model Umno hypocrite

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 21, 2023: Truly, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Salleh is pictured picking up his daughter who attends a Chinese school.

And, he has been objecting to the recognition of the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Senior Middle Level which is offered through the Malaysian Independent Chinese Secondary Schools.

Why then send your daughter to a Chinese school?

PETALING JAYA: Unofficial results in Umno’s elections show that Melaka assemblyman Dr Akmal Saleh has won the post of Umno Youth chief, according to the retiring leader Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.

Asyraf said Akmal had managed to garner the votes of 102 divisions so far, passing the 96 needed to win the post. Umno has a total of 191 divisions.

His rivals for the post were Paya Besar MP and former deputy finance minister Shahar Abdullah, senator Arman Azha Abu Hanifah and Meor Hassan Mat Ali.

Akmal represents Merlimau in the Melaka state assembly and is a state executive councillor for health and anti-drugs. He is also the deputy head of Melaka Umno Youth.

The post of national Youth leader fell vacant when Asyraf decided not to seek re-election. He had been appointed Umno Youth chief in 2018 after the fall of the Barisan Nasional government.

*Polemik UEC: Kenapa Saya Perlu Persoalkan dan Tugas Kami Sebagai Cermin Kerajaan.*

By Dr Akmal Saleh

Jadi mereka perlu mengambil SPM July Paper.

Mereka kecewa tetapi mereka faham dan menghormati perlembagaan negara. “Dimana bumi dipijak, disitu langit dijunjung” kata salah seorang dari mereka, akur.

*UEC, Aliran Agama & Tokenisme*

Apabila kerajaan negeri Melaka membuat keputusan untuk menerima Sijil Peperiksaan Bersepadu (UEC) sebagai salah satu syarat sah untuk pengambilan perkhidmat awam di negeri Melaka, saya asyik teringat nasib rakan saya yang terpaksa mengambil kembali SPM July Paper walaupun merupakan graduan perubatan, sekiranya mahu berkhidmat dengan kerajaan Malaysia.

Apa kelebihan UEC sehingga mendapat tempat istimewa sebegitu?

Perlukah kerajaan negeri Melaka diingatkan bahawa UEC bukan sebahagian Dasar Pendidikan Kebangsaan?

*Bukan Isu Kaum Tetapi Isu Pembinaan Negara*

Mana mungkin kita bina persefahaman tanpa assimilisasi? Cukuplah 50 tahun system pelajaran Malaysia memisahkan anak-anak kita.

*Malaysia-Baru, tetapi Tuan Adly Zahari?*
