PMX Anwar’s governance priority all wrong
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2, 2023: Malaysia’s Ringgit is fast becoming a banana currency with its more than RM1.5 trillion national debt still ballooning.
With a two-thirds majority in the 222-seat Parliament, PMX (10th Prime Minister) Anwar Ibrahim should be focusing all his energy on healing the economy.
Yet, he is spending more time on irrelevant domestic and international issues instead of helping to ease the rakyat dan negara (people and country)’s cocio-economic woes.
Anwar’s three most important matters that need to be tackled, but he is not, are the :
> FAST depreciating Ringgit;
> ECONOMY; and
> RACIAL and religious bigotry that is threatening national unity and harmony and multi-racial-religious Malaysia.

The spirits of consultations and consensus are sorely missing
Actually, PMX is making a unilateral decision. This actually was never a good idea in any given situation nor in any given nation for that matter.
Anwar has got it all wrong !!!!
Malaysia is a small nation. It has neither military power nor economic power.
Like all small nations, we want to be protected by the United Nations, international laws and conventions.
Waging war on Israel and threatening the existence of Israel is not the way to go. Not for Palestinians and not for us. He should heed the wise words of the former Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia. Do not wage war against the fourth most powerful military in the world who are supported by the most powerful nation on earth. Stay on the moral high ground and appeal to the nations of the world.
Palestinians are on the frontline. They suffer greatly. Help them by giving them aid. Help them build their homes, their schools and hospitals. Do not support Hamas.
And accept the reality of the situation. We cannot give them the support they need to win a war against Israel. To assume that posture reduces our ability to function effectively on the diplomatic front. You are not Erdogan of Turkey. Turkey is a member of NATO and has a back channel to the West. He can appear to play the game both ways. We cannot.
The path ahead is dangerous. We must tread carefully. Look after our people. Our economy is in distress. Our currency is losing its value. Our national debt is high. We need investments. Our people need to be better educated. We need to be connected to the rest of the world. We need the English language. And we need to stay united.
The attempts to activate Malaysian children were misguided. Educate them on the history of the conflict, of international and humanitarian laws, on the laws of war, on the United Nations, on our Constitution, on how our people of diverse faiths and cultures live peacefully together.
Anwar, you are the leader of a nation of diverse people. We are a democracy country. We have Parliament and State assemblies. Do not take us on a path not agreed by all - Anonymous
He is indeed threatened by national unity in respect of religious matter. 60years of habitual corrupted system cannot be overturned. This will take another at lease 20 over years just to move a baby steps. He need a strong team to liberalize our nations
