Multiracial Malaysians’ only choice in GE16: Dump the NATO PMX but not PH?

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 21, 2024: University of Tasmania’s School of Social Sciences Prof Dr James Chin has posted on Facebook a very pertinent and worrying matter.

The posting, on Malaysian politics and Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister (PMX) Anwar Ibrahim has triggered interesting and logical comments.

This is what Chin posted:

James Chin

Do you believe him? Different messages to different audiences? Most Rocket supporters think you stand for reformati ... And I am not joking.... Action speaks louder than words ... Still no action

Sadly, what is clear for multiracial Malaysians who treasure peace and national unity, is that they are in a political crisis or crossroad.

Come the next general election (GE16) that must be called in 2027, they appear to have no choice in voting for a new Government.

Both the Taliban-like PAS and Perikatan-Bersatu led by the racist and unpatriotic Muhyiddin “I Am Malay First” Yassin are automatically unacceptable.

With the Umno-led Barisan Nasional (previously Alliance) governing Malaysia to nowhere after 60 years, Umno appears to be even worse now with the likes of the racial and religious bigoted Umnho youth chief Dr Akmal Salleh which the party supports whenever he opens his big mouth to spew racial and religious venom.

Left with only 26 Parliamentary seats in the 222-seat august house after GE15, Umno continues with its bullying politics and arrogance, instead or reforming and changing to try and win back the hearts of Malaysians.

Does that mean Malaysians have no choice but to stick with Anwar’s so-called Madani Unity Government?

That appeared to be so, but Chin’s posting and response in Facebook comments exposed a twist to the choice for multiracial Malaysians.

If Anwar continues to be NATO (No Action Talk Only) and fails to deliver Reformasi (Reformation) expectations of the rakyat (people) as outlined in his electoral promises, then dump him and Umno in GE16, but not Pakatan Harapan (PH) comprising PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat), DAP and Amanah.

Vote for a strong PH but force a change in the leadership of prime minister. Surely, there are capable leaders who can replace Anwar.

It sure looks like the only hope now is for multiracial Malaysians to vote in a strong PH Government in GE16 and a new leader who is not a lameduck, so to speak.

And those who think boycotting GE16 or voting with vengeance, think carefully again. That is definitely NOT a solution to let racial and religious bigots govern "Taliban" Malaysia.

The recent events which happened under his watch, have put PM10 in a bad light, never mind about his reforms agenda. His words and vows are mere rhetorics, with no meaning and people just take them with a pinch of salt!

No point going round the bush. Just tell it as it is!!

By lottery of birth, Anwar cannot abandon the tenets of his faith, and reform Malaysia laws and norms, to declare every Malaysian as Equal, with zero tolerance for discrimination of any sorts.

That is the core of Reformation - social/cultural and legal, envisioned by true supporters of Reformation.

It doesn't cost anything to state the vision and to persuade, cajole, and inspire citizen towards that.

But Anwar can't even articulate the vision , only to cough up 'Madani'.

Even worst still his action and his legislative agenda, appeal to suggest that his idea of a reform Malaysia is in perfect alignment with Moon: he is still a believer of an Islamic Utopia without adopting fundamental tenets of Human Rights such as those espouse in the ICERD toolkits.

Anwar apologist/defenders point to his administrative tweaking such as trying to separate AG from PP, as evidence of reforms but in light of Mufti Bill and the like, its a nothingburger.

Reformasi need new champion(s) - and there are many qualified Malaysians who have internalized the vision.

They need Malaysian to rally behind the grand idea; and suppress the urge to keep Supremacy ideology for the bragging rights.

This kind of posting is not doing any good but stirring-up sentiments that benefit the Moon Party. They are very happy to see all the comment here. An effective brain-washing for the nons to boycott GE16 and let the Moon Party and their allies form a single race & religion government.
