Muhyiddin a ‘rubbish’ leader for Malaysians since his 2020 betrayal of the PH Government
KUALA LUMPUR, June 2, 2023: Muhyiddin Yassin has really become a “rubbish leader” for Malaysians since he betrayed the Pakatan Harapan government to form a back-door Government in March 2020.
After he founded Pakatan Nasional (PN) and embraced the Taliban-like PAS religious bigots, and received a dose of his “own medicine” when he was toppled by another back-door government, the own thing in his mind is to fight for his return as prime minister by fanning religious and racial sentiments.
The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president today said he was prepared to work with former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad for the sake of “race, religion and country (3R)”.
Why “race, religion and country”? Is anyone or party threatening the 3R? Obviously NO!
Why not for Malaysians and Malaysia? Why continue to try to split the Malays by spewing continuous racial and religious sentiments?
Muhyiddin for 3R? Rubbish! It’s Muhyiddin for political power at all costs, including destroying national unity and Malaysia’s socio-economic future.
And police have taken the right move to call up Dr Mahathir Mohamad (Dr M) for initiating his “Malay Proclamation”.
For the sake of national unity, police need to find out Dr M’s true or real intentions for such a proclamation.
Are the status of Malays being threatened by anyone, party or Government? Obviously, nothing of that sort.
The Anwar Ibrahim-led Unity Government is still dominated by Malays in the civil service and top positions in governance, with Malaysia’s largest party, Umno in the Unity Government.
So, if Dr M’s real intentions is to use race/Malays to destabilise national unity, the Government and country, then he should be charged accordingly with all other who support such a proclamation without just cause.

KUALA LUMPUR – Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today said he was prepared to work with former prime minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for the sake of “race, religion and country”.
In a statement, the Perikatan Nasional chairman said recent political developments had left the Malay-Muslim community here at a crossroads.
Dr Mahathir, 97, had joined Parti Bumiputera Perkasa Malaysia (Putra) as his new platform in February, along with 13 other members from Pejuang. Putra is led by Datuk Ibrahim Ali.
The relationship between Dr Mahathir and Muhyiddin was strained following the Sheraton Move in February 2020 which led to the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government.
Dr Mahathir, who was the prime minister at the time had then labelled Muhyiddin as a “traitor”.
However, Dr Mahathir recently said he was willing to work with Muhyiddin so long as they could reach a consensus on the objectives they want to achieve together.

In a statement, federal police confirmed recording Mahathir’s statement this morning over its probe into the issue and the former Umno president’s “Malay Proclamation”.
“This case is still being investigated,” it said.
Bukit Aman also confirmed that the probe was being carried out under Section 124B of the Penal Code for “committing an activity detrimental to parliamentary democracy”.

Earlier, Mahathir’s lawyer Rafique Rashid Ali said the former Langkawi MP gave his statement over the Malay Proclamation at Yayasan Albukhary.
According to Rafique, Mahathir told the police that he was ready to be charged and would answer their questions in court.
The Malay Proclamation is the former prime minister’s latest initiative to “unite the community”. It lists 12 key problems that it claims are being faced by the Malays, and also seeks to unite the community across the political divide.
Last month, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and several leaders of the Islamic party also signed the document to signify their support for Mahathir’s call for the Malays to unite and save the community.
Bersatu’s deputy president Ahmad Faizal Azumu, information chief Razali Idris and Supreme Council member Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid had also signed the document in their personal capacities. - FMT

It’s about policies, not race, Anwar tells PAS
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim says the Islamic party should stop pushing outdated narratives in a multiracial country.
Elill Easwaran - 02 Jun 2023, 5:08pm
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim says it is more important that Pakatan Harapan’s policies do not leave the Malays behind.
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has dismissed a claim that Pakatan Harapan (PH) was unfit to govern on the grounds that the coalition was dominated by non-Muslims.
Responding to a comment by PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, the PH chairman said the Islamic party should instead look at the policies the coalition had implemented as part of the unity government.
“It’s not a question about the majority in the coalition (being) non-Malays.
“The important thing is, our policies do not leave the Malays behind,” he told reporters after officiating an Orientalism Paintings Exhibition at the Islamic Arts Museum.
Anwar also said PAS should stop peddling such outdated narratives as Malaysia is a multiracial country.
In claiming that PH was unfit to be the government and lead the country due to the composition of the coalition, Hadi also said the current unity government was weak as it was not led by a Malay-Muslim party.
Hadi said in the last general election (GE15), DAP won 40 seats, PKR won 31 seats, 11 of which were non-Malay MPs, and Amanah won eight. Hadi said this rendered PH “hopeless”.
“So if PH gets involved it is actually dominated by non-Muslims,” the Marang MP said.
Separately, Anwar said that political leaders who had questioned as to why his administration was “digging into the past” were in fact afraid that they were being investigated for corruption.
“If you have taken, give it back, that is all I want,” he said referring to those who had plundered the country’s coffers. - FMT
