Dirty New World Park, a threat to public health, closed down for 14 days by Health Ministry!

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21, 2024: Note that the above image circulating on social media has not been verified. It is learnt that the length of closure has been cut short to three days after cockroaches were found in the New World Park food court by health inspectors

PPB Group Bhd (Perlis Plantation Bhd), a company with links to multibillionaire Robert Kuok, owns and manages the New World Park in Penang.

And it is again in the limelight for wrong reasons.

Remember a few years ago when No News Is Bad News highlighted the tourist attraction food court with all its toilet bowls broken and unusable?

The park’s management then repaired and refurbished the toilets.

Now, it is embroiled in another health hazard issue!

The park has been shutdown by the Health Ministry for 14 days (from yesterday Aug 20 to Sept 3, 2024) as it is dirty and a threat to public health!

And no print media will report this because they need the advertising revenue from PBB!

How embarrassing is this for Kuok and his conglomerate? A second time public health issue?

His PBB can’t even manage a food court in Penang satisfactorily.

What sort of management is Kuok and PBB having for Penang’s famed New World Park?

It cannot even manage a food court properly!
