While the former Umno president remains languishing in prison to serve his jail sentence, Malaysians have to pay for the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) debts until 2037 - even after the jailbird is released after serving his sentence.
This year, the Government paid RM15 billion to serve 1MDB’s debts!
Is it any surprise that Umno, a party of shameless and corrupt leaders, is still pursuing to free their jailbird “super kleptocrat”?
No wonder Umno is today left with only 26 MPs in the 222-seat Parliament!
How cany any honest Malaysian with integrity still consider racist Umno leaders to lead them after the next general election in 2027? Mind boggling, isn’t it?

KUALA LUMPUR: Seventy-two Umno divisions have submitted motions demanding justice and a full royal pardon for incarcerated former prime minister Najib Razak.
Umno secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said these were among the motions the party received from a total of 171 divisions nationwide. Umno has 191 divisions in total.
As long as ‘bossku’ remains behind bars, Umno’s push (for a full pardon for Najib) will never stop, he said, referring to Najib’s nickname given by supporters.
Have confidence and trust in the (Umno) top leadership. And let us all continue to pray (for Najib) because prayer is our weapon, he said at the Umno general assembly this morning.
Najib, who has three other criminal cases that are ongoing, began his initial 12-year prison term on Aug 23, 2022 following the Federal Court’s dismissal of his final appeal.
On Feb 2, the Federal Territories Pardons Board announced that the former Umno president’s prison sentence had been reduced from 12 years to six and his fine from RM210 million to RM50 million.
Najib, 70, is currently serving his sentence at Kajang prison and is set to be released on Aug 23, 2028.
In April, he applied to the High Court to compel the government to produce a purported addendum from the former Yang di-Pertuan Agong allowing him to serve his sentence under house arrest.
