Malaysia’s shameless skewered double-standard law enforcement
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 25, 2025: Malaysia is clearly losing its pace of socio-economic progress to many of its neighbours who were once more backward.
And Malaysia’s socio-economic future is certainly bleak if Malaysians fail to once and for all kick out all the racial and religious bigoted politicians from both sides of the political divide.
How, one wonders, can the bigoted Umno be supported to govern a country when it shamelessly supports the country’s No. 1 thief/pencuri - the corrupt, disgraced and shameless former Umno president and prime minister Najib “1MDB” Razak.
And by virtue that Umno is part of the so-called Madani Unity Government (UG), the Government is also deemed supporting thieves/pencuri-pencuri (albeit only the VVIPs).
Umno is a dying political party as Malaysians have had enough of its rqacial and religious bigotry politics and the corrupt ways of many of its politicians who live beyond their means.
So, why are the Malays still poor after 68 years of governance under the Umno-led Alliance and then the Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN) - since Merdeka (Independence) 1957.
But, Malays still believe Umno is demi rakyat dan negara (for people and country) and blames others, NOT their corrupt multi-millioaire Malay politicians.
This is what PM Najib delivered for rakyat dan negara:
The above images are Umno’s definition of jasa from a thief/pencuri. Malaysians having to pay 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) debts for decades - all thanks to the jasa of PM Najib’s mismanagement of 1MDB.
"Jasa" has several meanings across languages, most commonly meaning "service" or "favor" in Indonesian/Malay, but also "glory/honor" (Sanskrit/Slavic), a personal name (Slavic/Hebrew meaning "gift from God"), or even referring to a Spanish village or a prestigious journal (JASA). Context is key to understanding which meaning applies, often pointing to an act of assistance, respect, or a proper name.
So, has the UG been fair in law enforcement and justice?
Have you seen Najib clad in the infamous orange suit that is deserving to convicted criminals?
Why is the country’s No.1 thief/pencuri who stole millions, if not billions, of Ringgit, being given special "luxurious" treatment?

Double Standards Malaysia?
I am a retired PTD Officer. The PTD stands for Perkhidmatan Tadbir dan Diplomatik, or the Administrative and Diplomatic Service. PTD Officers are recruited by the Public Services Commission.
Usually, they must have a credible honours degree from any recognized University. Historically, it began as two separate services; the MCS or the Malayan Civil Service and the Malay Administrative Service.
The former recruited honours graduates and the latter took in general degree officers. Some unfederated States have their own Service linked to the Royalty in each state.
The PTD Service
All Heads of Departments and Ministries are usually composed of PTD Officers as Heads of Department for the proper governance of the specialized Departments or Ministries. It is a Federal Service Corps!
The overall head of the PTD is the Chief Secretary. He is also the Cabinet Secretary and heads an entire Department for handling all Cabinet-related matters, professionally!
As a 75-year=old ex PTD Officer, allow me to relate what I know about the PTD Service; especially from my lived experience of public service.
I served in a total of 5 appointments under the PTD mode of transfers, expertise, and training exposure. Twice at INTAN (and Masters and PhD training), once at JPM with Tun Abdul Razak, and with Minister Rafidah in MITI, and then finally seconded to the NITC or the National IT Council, hosted by Mimos Berhad.
After a total of 33 years of Public Service, my conclusion is that policy work done by PTD Officers ranges from hardcore content of various Departments; whether Income Tax, or Immigration, or the Department of Births and Deaths but the core work remains policy formulation and execution. They also include due-process-standards-control procedures.
Najib Razak Guilt
Last week, finally, the High Court dismissed a fraudulent claim through a so-called Addendum; which I had argued that it cannot even exist!
Today, my greater concern in this column is “why the Sultan of Pahang’s Office even bothered to try and undertake such categorical deception?”
Is mine a 3R question? No, it is simply a Supreme Law of the Federation question. The Federal Constitution argued of herself as “the supreme law of the Federation.” The High Jourt Judge simply agreed!
The High Court Judge ruled based on existing precedent law, I understand. Now, why are the Pastard’s and Dumno’s suddenly all excited about this “wrong decision?”
How can it ever be wrong? It sounds to me like the 40 percent pendulum swing arguments of the Prime Minister! The 8-0 in Sabah does not seem a good decision for DAP or PKR!
I, for one, have consistently stated that Sabah and Sarawak are often treated as second class citizens by the Malayan neo-colonials. Very much like the Indians and Chinese in “Melayusia.” Am I wrong?
Whither the Orange Suit?
I am no lawyer, although always, I have been a student of Constitutional Law. Professor Shad Saleem Farouqi is my favourite law personality. Professors Ahmad Ibrahim and Nik Rashid were my teachers at UM.
Therefore, the focus of this column is the question to my PTD Colleague and DG of Prisons: Why does not Najib Tun Razak wear his Orange Suit to appear anymore before court?
Why is he treated like a VIP? Are you colluding with this criminal and and promoting a crooked culture within the PTD Service?
