DAP and Amanah leaders must be idiots to support Anwar?

Do you think they want to work with Umno?

DAP and Amanah leaders must be idiots to support Anwar?

Like during the Dr Mahathir Mohamad (Dr M)-Anwar Ibrahim 90s era, the batu api (instigators) “specialists”, from both Umno and within Pakatan Harapan (PH) are working over time to split the ties of the two leaders.

All types of conspiracies are being bandied about to get Dr M and Anwar to get at each others throat again.

Who stands to gain if they succeed to get Dr M and Anwar to “kill each other politically”?

Of course it is Umno and those Trojan Horses and traitors in PH who are out to serve their political agenda for power and selfish interests.

It must have been a great disappointment to the instigators when Dr M’s loyalist and most trusted lieutenant, Daim Zainuddin, and Anwar met twice recently to discuss Malaysia’s economy.

Yet, the instigators started concocting or spinning news that Daim and Anwar met to discuss about forming a new “Malay Supremacy” federal government comprising Umno, PAS and PKR!

Not that it cannot happen because in Malaysian politics, there are no permanent enemies or friends and any political conspiracy can happen.

But, there must be some solid basis, extenuating circumstances and common “reality” sense to make it happen.

The May 9 14th General Election (GE14) that toppled the mighty Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN) showed the majority of multi-racial Malaysians, and that includes the Malays, have clearly rejected Umno and BN.

And, both Umno and PAS, and the Umno lap dog MCA, were also soundly defeated in three recent by-elections, despite the low voter turnout.

Gone were the days when the Umno-led BN would win by-elections hands down whenever voter turnout is low.

So, why must Dr M and Anwar even want to consider bringing Umno into the ruling PH?

And Dr M at 93 has clearly stated that Anwar is his successor. There is no doubt that Anwar will wait patiently to succeed Dr M as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia - and he has said that he wanted to make a return to Parliament and does not want any government post (in the Cabinet?).

Do you want to reject Anwar to help facilitate Umno and PAS to Putrajaya?
Anwar hopes to make his return via the coming Port Dickson by-election because the only way for him to succeed Dr M is to be a parliamentarian. No?

And Umno was today (Sept 18) jolted by the resignation of Supreme Council member and party stalwart Mustapa Mohamed, a former Cabinet Minister.

The resignation of Mustapa, a Kelantanese and state BN chairman, must be a significant blow to the Umno-led BN, coming on the back of the crucial Port Dickson by-election that is all-so important to Anwar and PH.

And what was Mustapa’s reason for quitting Umno?

Free Malaysia Today (FMT): Umno supreme council member Mustapa Mohamed has quit the party, saying the direction Umno is heading is not in line with his principles.
“The party has not made any effort to convince me that it is rejuvenating itself,” the former international trade and industry minister, fondly known as “Tok Pa” said in a statement.
Mustapa, who is the Kelantan Barisan Nasional chairman, said for him, Umno should be an “inclusive and moderate” party which takes the middle ground.
So, to those who may believe the conspiracy theories that Anwar is working towards a PKR-Umno-PAS federal government when he becomes Prime Minister …

Also, the DAP and Amanah leaders must be idiots or morons to continue supporting Anwar if there was any truth in such conspiracy theories that Anwar has “ill intentions” to work with Umno and PAS.

Malaysians are blessed and lucky that there are still very sane leaders like Mustapa who would quit Umno on principles.

PETALING JAYA: PKR president-elect Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim held a meeting with Tun Daim Zainuddin to discuss about strengthening the nation's economy.

"Furthering the discussion with Tun Daim Zainuddin today.

"Charting a clear agenda to strengthen the economy and for the consideration of PM Tun Dr Mahathir," Anwar said on his Facebook page on Monday (Sept 17).

Anwar had also posted two pictures of his meeting with the Council of Eminent Persons (CEP) chairman.

Anwar is the country's prime minister-in-waiting.

Prior to GE14, it was agreed by the Pakatan Harapan component parties that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad would be Prime Minister and would hand over the reins to Anwar after two years.

HORSE-TRADING INTENSIFIES – DAIM & ANWAR HOLD TALKS, THE SECOND IN 10 DAYS, AS POLITICAL SITUATION TURNS FLUID: WILL ‘RUMORS’ OF NEW COALITIONS BEING FORMED BECOME TRUE?

Politics | September 18, 2018

ANWAR Ibrahim today met with Daim Zainuddin, their second meeting in 10 days, as some of the PKR president-elect’s party members continue to claim that the Council of Eminent Person chairman was trying to prevent Anwar from becoming the next prime minister.

Anwar posted a tweet about the meeting but did not disclose the location.

“Discussion with Tun Daim on the current economic conditions and the strengthening of Bumiputera agencies,” he tweeted.

Both met on September 8 and on that occasion, Anwar shared a photo on his Facebook page.

On that meeting, Anwar said the men also discussed a number of contemporary development.

He, however, did not state any other detail of their meeting.

The duo are seen laughing and looking comfortable with each other in the photo, contrary to speculations made by some within PKR that Daim is allegedly plotting to stop Anwar from taking over from Dr Mahathir Mohamad. - Malaysia Chronicle (now suspected to be backed by CIA)

Former minister Mustapa Mohamed says Umno has not made any effort to convince him that it is rejuvenating itself.
PETALING JAYA: Umno supreme council member Mustapa Mohamed has quit the party, saying the direction Umno is heading is not in line with his principles.

Umno, the Jeli MP added, should champion the Bumiputera cause and that of Islam without sidelining the interest of the other races and religions.

“I believe, this is the best direction to take in a multiracial country.”

Umno, he said, could not only depend on the support of the Malays and Bumiputeras to remain relevant in the current political landscape.

Unfortunately, Mustapa said, based on recent developments, he felt that efforts to regain the people’s trust and restore the party’s image had become an uphill task.

“I see no sign that the majority of the multiracial and multireligious people will believe in Umno’s cause.”

Mustapa’s decision to quit the party, which he has been a member of for 40 years, comes as ties between Umno and PAS become gradually warmer, especially after the Barisan Nasional’s shock defeat in the May 9 polls.

Umno Youth sets up taskforce to study partnership
NATION

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Youth, which welcomes the party’s collaboration with PAS, has set up a taskforce to study the partnership, says its chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.

“The taskforce, headed by the wing’s vice-chief, Shahril Hamdan, will gather views and suggestions from Umno members,” he said after chairing an Umno Youth exco meeting at the party headquarters here yesterday.

Dr Asyraf said both parties must be given ample time to ponder the matter thoroughly.

“Some of the Youth exco members expressed their opinions on the matter and so did PAS Youth.

“These reactions are expected because a thing of this importance cannot just happen overnight,” he added.

Last Saturday, Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the current position of Umno-PAS cooperation was a formal collaboration.

He said a working committee was needed to study all aspects of the move before both sides create a long-term relationship to face the 15th general election.

Dr Asyraf said he expected the matter to be brought up during the party’s annual general assembly at the end of the month.

“What is important is that we took the first step with positive thinking. The wing welcomes the collaboration,” he added.

Dr Asyraf said PAS Youth had also been invited to the wing’s general assembly on Sept 29.

On the coming Port Dickson parliamentary by-election, he said Umno Youth felt Barisan Nasional should field a candidate for the battle.

“We celebrate democracy and we (Barisan) should contest the by-election,” he said.

Barisan will meet on Sept 24 to decide whether to take part in the by-election triggered by the resignation of Datuk Danyal Balagopal Abdullah, who is making way for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to contest the seat in the PKR incoming president’s quest to make a comeback to Parliament. - The Star Online

On track to possible political pact

NATION
Tuesday, 18 Sep 2018

KUALA NERUS: The 64th PAS general assembly drew its curtain on Sunday with delegates acceding to the party’s collaboration with Umno for the interest of the Malays and Islam.

Nevertheless, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang do not see it as vital, though necessary, hence raising questions whether the collaboration will merely be on the basis of taawun (cooperation for the benefit of Islam) or a step further through tahaluf siyasi (political cooperation).

The presence, for the first time ever, of Umno leaders led by its president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi at the assembly became the talk among PAS delegates when discussing their old enemy.

“I believe the PAS leadership is sincere, although he did not specifically mention it. But politicians understand what he is trying to say,” said Dr Ahmad Zahid when asked on the presence of Umno leaders, who were welcomed by Abdul Hadi and other PAS leaders at the opening of the general assembly.

However, PAS leaders were advised by delegates to exercise caution when forging cooperation with any parties, including Umno, by not placing the party’s struggle, which is to champion Islam, at stake.

Abdul Hadi, in his presidential policy speech, said PAS was consistent and had always adopted a mature and peaceful political approach with all parties, as well as willingness to forge political cooperation with them.

Political analyst Dr Syed Agil Syed Alsagoff from Universti Putra Malaysia said PAS needed the support of its political friends, like Umno, to ensure its survival.

“I believe PAS should be more open by accepting the advantages and weaknesses of the party’s friends and to create a political culture which is more positive and progressive,” he said.

He said PAS should not be prejudicial and regard Umno’s history and negativity as threats to the party.

The assembly also saw the commitment by PAS to the concept of federalism, especially in ensuring the progress of Kelantan and Terengganu, which are under PAS rule.

Abdul Hadi said the statement by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to return the oil royalty to oil-producing states Kelantan and Terengganu was a positive sign and hoped more would be done for both states.

This included development allocation, infrastructure, and investment opportunities, he added.

A geo-strategist from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Azmi Hassan, said the concept of federalism had been practised in the country since independence.

“A state cannot stand on its own without federal assistance, especially those that do not have a strong source of income,” he said. — Bernama/The Star Online

There’s simply no place for Umno and PAS in multi-racial multi-religious Malaysia.
