PPBM is an Umno clone/Trojan Horse back in business in PH?

Really, is the online Free Malaysia Today news titled Ex-Umno leader Syed Hamid joins PPBM accurate or true?

The report only quotes former Umno minister and Supreme Council member Syed Hamid Albar announcing himself as a PPBM member and also PPBM’s election committee chairman.

Wow! What’s happening? Pakatan Harapan (PH) supporters, especially who have been glorifying PPBM and Dr Mahathir Mohamad, must be wondering what hit them! No?

Hey! Why not drop all investigations into former Najib Razak and his wife and bring them into PPBM? Perhaps, then, Najib can help PPBM, Malaysians and Malaysia financially?

Better still, stop all graft probes, go back to business as usual, and Malaysians and Malaysia are transformed into a “One Big Happy Family” New Malaysia - no more political feuds.

Accepting ordinary Umno members into PPBM is tolerable and acceptable. But Syed Hamid? And making him PPBM’s election committee chairman?

If former Umno leaders like Syed Hamid had quit the party before the May 9 14th General Election (GE14), it would have been acceptable.

And, who is really behind this anti-Anwar campaign?
No News Is Bad News has this one question for those who have been trying to sabotage PKR president Anwar Ibrahim’s bid to return to Parliament.

Who in PKR can check the political conspiracies being sowed in PPBM, Anwar or Azmin?

So, are PH supporters feeling disappointed, with knives stabbed in their back, or should they embrace Umno national leaders into PPBM? Read on the disgusting political development:

PETALING JAYA: Former Umno Supreme Council member Syed Hamid Albar today confirmed that he has joined PPBM.

Bernama reported that Syed Hamid had submitted his application form to PPBM vice-president Mukhriz Mahathir.

“I am now a PPBM member,” he said after attending an event today, adding that he also met up with PPBM chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad recently.

Syed Hamid has been appointed PPBM’s election committee chairman.

Syed Hamid had, on June 29, announced his exit from Umno, saying the party had deviated from its original struggle and was only concerned with the transition of the new leadership rather than caring for the people.

On Barisan Nasional (BN) not contesting the Port Dickson by-election, Syed Hamid said this was the right and reasonable thing to do.

He also agreed with Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah that the party was not ready and not motivated to contest in the by-election.

“I think it’s a good thing Umno is not contesting. But I don’t think it’s a boycott. A boycott would point to a dissatisfaction.

“For a by-election, if they are not in government and not ready to contest, it would be a waste of money. It would not be worth it if the party is directionless and demotivated,” he said.

Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had yesterday announced that the party would stay out of the by-election, citing that it was not in line with democratic principles and that it was a waste of money.

Aside from PKR’s incoming president Anwar Ibrahim, Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM), former MIC secretary-general G Kumar Aamaan and Twitter personality Stevie Chan Keng Leong have announced their intentions to stand as independent candidates in the by-election.

PAS has yet to announce whether they are contesting in the by-election.
