Tan, Rajah and Cheah, the solicitors for the Malaysian government, 1MDB and SRC International, said the monies recovered are in various currencies with a total value of some S$15.3mil (RM45.9mil). "These monies are being transferred to the special 1MDB recovery bank account in Kuala Lumpur. "Efforts to recover other unlawfully misappropriated assets are ongoing," the law firm said in a statement on Monday (Sept 10). It was reported that Malaysian investigators and their Singaporean counterparts will work closely together on their investigations into the 1MDB scandal. After declaring MCA had regained the confidence of more Malaysians after garnering a measly 3,975 votes in the recent Balakong by-election, party deputy president Dr Wee Ka Siong now takes to task Pakatan Harapan (PH)’s failure to fulfil its 100-day promise to commission a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
This comes following Singapore’s recent announcement to make a first “instalment” of S$15.3 million (RM45.9 million) return of monies stolen from 1MDB.
More of such “instalment” is expected to be made, according to the Singapore authorities. How many or how much more? Your guess is as good as mine! Investigations are still ongoing.
Now, this moronic Wee is suddenly “very concern” with the multi-billion-ringgit 1MDB financial scandal.
Where was he and MCA when the disgraced former premier Najib Razak and 1MDB scandal were exposed in 2015? They were just busy apple polishing Najib and Umno … and are still doing so in Barisan Nasional (BN)!
Please lah Wee! You are so ignorant about socio-politics that MCA has been reduced from a 7-11 party in the 13th General Election (GE13) to a 1-2 party in GE14!

In a statement on Tuesday (Sept 11), he urged the Government to carry out that promise, saying that it is high time and fair for the rakyat that there is an open, transparent and politically-neutral platform to learn the truth about 1MDB, once and for all.
The MCA deputy president said this was following recent developments where the Singapore Government returned RM46mil to Malaysia and former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s revelation of certain bank documents including explanations showing that the Saudi Arabia Finance Ministry, as well as a Saudi Prince, had moved a large amount of funds into his personal accounts.
Dr Wee also questioned the status and progress of the April 2017 settlement agreement signed between Malaysian and the Abu Dhabi Government whose resolution would be mean that every single sen of missing money would be returned to 1MDB.
“Thus, they are the most heavily implicated with proof of wrongdoing together with Jho Low.
“Has the government called on these foreign personalities for questioning or have they requested extradition for them to be charged here too? Are there such plans to do so?” he asked. - The Star Online"
