Hmm … not all in BN are ‘shiok sendiri’ idiots like MCA’s Liow, Wee and others

Idiots’ parade! Polling 3,975 votes in the Balakong (with a total of 62,219 registered voters) by-election is an improvement! And MCA also ‘improved’ from a 7-11 party in GE13 to 1-2 party in GE14! (Pun and sarcasm intended!!!)

Hmm … not all in BN are shiok sendiri idiots like MCA’s Liow, Wee and others

Finance Twitter has posted a news review or analysis of the recent three by-elections and concurred: That the Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders are still living in shiok sendiri (self gratification) political denial.

Also, read this earlier posting by No News Is Bad News for context: https://victorlim2016.blogspot.com/2018/09/mca-is-politically-dead-man-walking.html (MCA is politically ‘dead man walking’)

And what was the most significant point in the news review? This: The God, fairly, gave a chance to each of them to prove they aren’t idiots who would do the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The God must be rolling on the floor laughing at the level of stupidity demonstrated by them.

Well, the Alliance/BN has not changed its racial and religious politicking for 60 years or six decades, resulting in it losing its grip on Putrajaya (federal government) in the May 9 14th General Election (GE14).

No News Is Bad News has in many posts stressed that the only way for politicians and their party to remain politically relevant, not only in Malaysia but also in the rest of the world, is to embrace change - facing reality, keeping abreast with socio-political changes and thinking out of the box.

That is the reason why God will never lift a finger to help those who choose to remain arrogant, stubborn and stagnant.

"BOMBSHELL: FINALLY, A BREAK IN THE ‘MALAY DILEMMA’ – AN UMNO STAMPEDE INTO HARAPAN NEXT? ILL-FATED LOVERS UMNO & PAS IN PANIC MODE AS MALAY MUSLIMS REFUSE TO VOTE FOR THEM NOT ONCE, TWICE – BUT THRICE

AS (Malaysian Islamic Party) said they had done exceptionally well. MCA (Malaysian Chinese Association) too said they had done incredibly well. But UMNO (United Malays National Organization) admitted that the results of the three recent by-elections in Selangor have proven that the pact between UMNO and PAS isn’t working.

Obviously one or two of the trio was lying about reaching orgasm during the threesome session. How could PAS and MCA claimed they enjoyed themselves very much in the bed when UMNO – clearly frustrated – told all and sundry the threesome relationship has been a nightmare simply because they had failednot one, not two, but three times in the recent by-elections?

UMNO screamed until foaming at the mouth about Malays supremacy in Sungai Kandis by-election but lost their blue shirt. PAS screamed until foaming at the mouth about Islam and Muslims dignity in Seri Setia by-election but lost their green robe. MCA screamed until foaming at the mouth about Chinese rights in Balakong by-election but lost their “durian-shaped” party flag.

Yes, it seems Allah or God has a magnificent way of testing – or playing a joke – on all the opposition parties. The God, fairly, gave a chance to each of them to prove they aren’t idiots who would do the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The God must be rolling on the floor laughing at the level of stupidity demonstrated by them.

Fortunately, Khairul Azwan Harun, former UMNO Youth Deputy Chief who is also a Senator of Dewan Negara (Upper House), has hammered some common sense into PAS and MCA, even his own party UMNO’s brains, that something is terribly wrong with the alliance. Perhaps he was puzzled by his own comrades’ “shiok sendiri (self-absorbed)” antic despite the spectacular failures.

Senator Khairul said – “The rakyat (people) don’t want an opposition that openly focuses on Malay and Islam. That has never been how UMNO won elections in the past. We need to revisit our moderate and centrist ways, ones that earned respect from non-Malays, not fear. UMNO’s identity is distinct; we were founded on cooperative and moderate principles, not-far right politics.”

Citing issues such as the implementation of the Sales and Services Tax (SST), higher cost of living and underperforming ministers, Khairul Azwan said these factors were supposed to have impact, and yet the once mighty UMNO still did not manage to win. He said – “Our machinery worked hard, one we’ve been relying on for years, was unsuccessful, again.”

On the contrary, PAS said the outcome of the Seri Setia by-election showed that voters welcome a united opposition, as reflected in the Islamist party’s alliance with UMNO. PAS candidate Dr Halimah Ali, who lost to Pakatan Harapan’s Halimey Abu Bakar, said PAS received 100% more votes compared to its performance in the same seat four months ago.

Halimey got 13,725 votes while Halimah got 9,698 votes. In the last general election, PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) received 29,250 votes, Barisan Nasional got 9,878 votes, while PAS 4,563 votes. This round, Barisan Nasional (UMNO) and PAS joined forces and were confident of wrestling the seat by playing 3R cards (religion, racial and royalty).

Similarly, MCA, despite losing, managed to find an incredible reason to celebrate. MCA President Liow Tiong Lai claims his party is satisfied with the by-election results as there has been an increase in voter support among the Chinese community for MCA. More importantly, the party did not embarrassingly lose its deposit, unlike when it did in May 9th general election.

In the by-election on Saturday (Sept 8), Pakatan Harapan’s DAP candidate Wong Siew Ki garnered 22,508 votes against 3,975 for MCA’s Tan Chee Teong, an 18,533-vote majority. MCA Deputy President Wee Ka Siong was absolutely happy when he noted that unlike the recent general election, the MCA candidate obtained at least 12.5% of the vote and retained his deposit.

It’s pathetic that MCA has been reduced to scraping the bottom of the barrelto make ends meet. Instead of aiming for a total victory, the party which is supposed to represent the Chinese community has its bar lowered tremendously – trying to keep deposit money. Adding insult to the injury, MCA had depended on PAS to help deliver Malay-Muslim votes.

The fact that UMNO secretary-general Annuar Musa went bonkers and kept babbling about majority Malays being oppressed by minority Chinese, in spite of the losses in all the three by-elections, goes to show that the racist and extreme UMNO political party has lost the plot. Nothing seems to work for UMNO, the dominant party that had ruled Malaysia for the last 61 years.

In fact, UMNO and PAS are in panic mode. They thought their alliance could at least swing the 55% Malay-Muslims in the Seri Setia seat using the trump card – Islam. The alliance had already failed to hoodwink 72% Malay-Muslims in Sungai Kandis by-election. What else could the racist UMNO and extremist PAS do that they had not already done to win over Malay-Muslims support?

MCA, on the other hand, had resorted to dump the toxic Barisan Nasional flag in favour of its own party’s flag, of which its durian-shaped logo was being mocked and ridiculed. It had hoped its flag could win over Chinese hearts but the community were smarter. MCA still couldn’t figure out why its’ promise to play a “check and balance” role didn’t work, but worked wonderfully with arch-rival DAP.

With nothing else to blame, they blamed on historical low turnout. But here’s the funny part. The Three Musketeers had failed when the turnout was as high as above 80% (14th general election). And now they have also failed when the turnout was at its lowest 43% (Balakong). Heck, they have even openly slept together to prove a point, that they are a force to be reckoned with.

The three by-elections, of which PAS, UMNO and MCA lost spectacularly, prove that the coalition was not strong enough to pose a threat to Pakatan Harapan coalition. They have very different ideologies even between UMNO and PAS, let alone between MCA and PAS. The Malay-Muslims in UMNO disagree with the idea of joining forces with Malay-Muslims in PAS.

In the same breath, the Malay-Muslims in PAS actually look down upon the un-Islamic and evil Malay-Muslims in UMNO. After the devastating defeat in the 14th general election, the PAS grassroots have lost even more respect for UMNO. That was why PAS leadership told UMNO to close shop and join them instead back in June. As far as PAS is concerned, UMNO is a loser.

However, PAS’ influence is only confined to the east coast, particularly Kelantan and Terengganu. To get the best of both worlds, the people of both states would vote the Islamic party, probably hoping to be rewarded in the afterlife. But at the same time, they would migrate to developed states in the west coast to earn a living. Either way, both UMNO and PAS are toast. – Finance Twitter/Malaysia Chronicle
