Political danger lurking PH federal government

Political danger lurking PH federal government

https://youtu.be/_0vSC49Bqec (VIDEO: Spewing hatred to disunite Malaysians)

https://youtu.be/_ekfYYj9leE (There is certainly no room in the country for such Umno racists in multi-racial multi-religious harmonious Malaysia)

Malaysia Chronicle’s headline for the Umno-owned New Straits Times report reads: ANWAR TO REJOIN CABINET AS DPM IN JUNE 2019? AND AFTER THAT…?: FRANKLY M’SIANS FEEL MUCH SAFER WITH DR M AS PM, BUT NO ONE LIKES AZMIN AS THE ALTERNATIVE SUCCESSOR – AND THIS IS WHY ‘MAHATHIR CAMP’ IS LOSING THE TUSSLE UNLESS THEY REPLACE AZMIN WITH ANYONE WHO IS BETTER, EVEN KHAIRY FOR EXAMPLE

So, the online news portal Malaysia Chronicle, now suspected to be supported by the US CIA is rooting for former Umno Minister Khairy Jamaluddin to be prime minister?

WTF! Going for a 4th Floor boy who got rich by securing power via his sleepy head father-in-law? Now, isn’t that super ridiculous for Malaysians who voted for Pakatan Harapan (PH) and toppled the Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN)’s 60-year hold to power?

Many Malaysians are unaware that the PH government is not as secure and stable as it looks.

And, the PH government’s biggest mistake is to continue with its policy of fear to rattle or clampdown on religious fanatics and racists, especially those coming from Umno, not PAS my friend!

PAS can be described as a “politically toothless tiger”, unacceptable to multi-racial, multi-religious Malaysians and Malaysia.

But to underestimate Umno’s threat to national harmony and unity to topple the PH government is surely a different cup of tea.

Umno had ruled Malaysia for some six decades and still commands sizeable influence in rural areas - it still successfully defended Perlis and Pahang in the May 9 14th General Election (GE14).

Those who voted for PAS in Kelantan, Terengganu, Perak and Kedah are rural Malays who lost confidence in Umno but are still anti-PH (or perhaps anti-Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Anwar Ibrahim).

They have no other choice but to switch to the religious PAS.

If you assess the suspected CIA-backed Malaysia Chronicle news report, it is actually aiming for a divide-and-rule Malaysia, to plunge the country into a racial and religious riot administration.

Despite losing GE14, and after more than 100 days, Malaysians continue to see no change in Umno’s religious and racial play to consolidate Malay power.

In fact, Umno has since become even more radical in religion and race, openly telling Malays that their political supremacy and survival are being threatened by the ruling PH component parties, especially the DAP.

PH comprises PKR, DAP, PPBM and Amanah. Except for DAP, all other three are Malay-majority parties. Now, isn’t it moronic and stupid to claim that DAP is controlling the federal government?

Then, why is Umno still pursuing, if not intensifying, the same strategy of religious and racial politics?

That’s because Umno, with support from MCA and MIC, thinks the Malays are still as stupid as ever and easily manipulated and influenced.

However, the PH government cannot afford to rest on its laurels and take the Malay support for granted because history has proven that whatever lies being propagated by Umno can become “truth and believable”, no matter how ridiculous and stupid they may sound, if allowed to be repeated in public protracted.

And the suspected CIA-backed Malaysia Chronicle has, within a week, posted three stories "glorifying" Umno's Khairy. Here are the three stories for you to chew on:

"ANWAR TO REJOIN CABINET AS DPM IN JUNE 2019? AND AFTER THAT…?: FRANKLY M’SIANS FEEL MUCH SAFER WITH DR M AS PM, BUT NO ONE LIKES AZMIN AS THE ALTERNATIVE SUCCESSOR – AND THIS IS WHY ‘MAHATHIR CAMP’ IS LOSING THE TUSSLE UNLESS THEY REPLACE AZMIN WITH ANYONE WHO IS BETTER, EVEN KHAIRY FOR EXAMPLE

AFTER accomplishing the “impossible” — dislodging Barisan Nasional from its 61-year-rule — Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says he will be damned if he lets anyone scupper Pakatan Harapan’s plans to effect institutional changes to improve the country.

The PKR de facto leader said he and the prime minister would not allow anyone to derail the sweeping changes underway to bring the country back on an even keel, nor would they allow anyone to drive a wedge between him and his once arch-nemesis and bitter political foe, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, with whom he now enjoys “a solid partnership”.

“There has never been a time in our history, when two political rivals, after having battled so intensely and for so long, made peace in order for the ultimate goal, which is to effect change and fulfil the aspirations of the people.

“He (Dr Mahathir) realises that and so do I. We will not allow anything to come between us, to disrupt our goals of fulfilling the people’s aspirations.

“That goal overrides everything else,” he said.

The PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim

Without so much as acknowledging the murmurs that he could miss out on his chance of becoming prime minister, Anwar said he was holding on to the agreement that was drawn up before PH took on the BN juggernaut and came out victorious, with a landslide victory.

“The agreement stands, and Tun has said it many times. For me, that is enough.

“The transition will become reality, God-willing.

“I also have experienced ‘waiting’ in prison… people say ‘tawakkal’ (trust in God’s divine plan). We can just plan and work towards it.

“Rumours are normal in politics… I have gone through tough times, I am not as naive as before,” Anwar said, adding that it was only right to allow Dr Mahathir the latitude and space to sort out the affairs of the state and initiate reforms.

In an interview with newspapers in the New Straits Times Press stable, Anwar said he has frequent sit-downs with Dr Mahathir to discuss issues of national interest.

“I don’t have to agree with Dr Mahathir 100 per cent, but he is the prime minister and I give him the space for him to govern.”

A PORTENT OF THINGS TO COME

In his clearest indication yet on his impending return to Putrajaya, Anwar said he had made it clear to Dr Mahathir when he would be ready to assume the premiership.

“I made it very clear… for example, I told him that I am going to Parliament, InsyaAllah, if I win (a parliamentary by-election), before the year-end. Maybe October.”

Asked when would be the right time for him to take over the country’s reins, Anwar said this must only take place when some of the promises for reforms, including institutional reforms, were in motion, and when professionalism in the public sector, that had been eroded, was returned.

“Sometimes, you hear some odd statements (from the civil service) that are contrary to what we (the cabinet) promised… we cannot allow disruptions to the present administration).

“That task lies with Dr Mahathir, who is also ensuring a more open administration,” he said, adding that the prime minister was going all out to ensure the rule of law was observed.

“The government has a very strong position against corruption and cronyism, which, to me, is getting endemic.”

ANWAR AS PRIME MINISTER

The 71-year-old said as a democrat, it was natural that he felt strongly against oppression and injustice.

“I am like before. Hopefully more mature in the process… Older, hopefully wiser.

“I feel strongly and passionately about justice. I hate oppression and injustice.

“People should know me and how important it is to be consistent. The rule of governance is the issue of ethics and character, and I think that is what the country needs.”

Asked on who would be the ideal deputy prime minister once he assumes top office, Anwar said it would not be for him to decide unilaterally, considering that PH was a coalition.

“We have to have a consensus… and what is important is, I have to assume the premiership first,” he said.

ANWAR’S TICKET TO PARLIAMENT

When asked, Anwar thought hard about the options of the parliamentary constituencies open to him that would ultimately return him to the august house after an absence of three years.

There is no shortage of offers from his party but Anwar said he was weighing his options and was undecided on where he would throw his hat in the ring.

“There are several seats I am considering… but I have not made a final decision.

“Because when I look at the performance (of the member of parliament) and if it is stellar, it would be such a waste, so we must consider all that.

“But there are several seats being considered. It’s just that I have not made a final decision yet.”

Anwar said there had been many offers for him to take over seats, offers that were not made public.

“We will see. A parliamentarian would want to serve a constituency where he is most at home.

“Like in Permatang Pauh, we (he and his former constituents) are like siblings where we can joke and banter. That kind of warmth, it is not easy to get to that level,” he said.

‘SKILLED GAMEPLAY’ BY KHAIRY? WITH ANWAR’S SUCCESSION ALMOST CERTAIN, SPECULATION RIFE KHAIRY TO JUMP SHIP TO HARAPAN AS RACE TO BE 9TH PM BEGINS

Politics | September 5, 2018

KUALA LUMPUR – Rembau member of parliament Khairy Jamaluddin has yet again shot down claims that he would be joining Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the near future.

His denial came in the form of a tweet, which suggested that not only would he be remaining in Umno, but that he is also gunning for the party presidency in 2021.

Via his Twitter account, Khairy wrote: ‘Habis tu macam mana nak bertanding Presiden UMNO tahun 2021?’ (If that was the case, how am I going to contest the Umno presidency in 2021?’)

His tweet was in response to an article quoting Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) founder, Badrul Hisham Shaharin or Chegubard, who was quoted as saying that Khairy was eyeing a spot in PH.

In a Facebook post, Badrul Hisham had claimed that Khairy was preparing to make a jump to join the government. “Skilled gameplay by Khairy Jamaluddin. Provoke enough to make sure he is sacked while at the same time, readying his spot,” claimed Badrul Hisham.

Before this, Khairy, who is also Rembau Umno deputy chief, was also said to be on his way out of Umno following his loss in his presidency bid in the Umno elections.

However, the former Youth and Sports Minister had maintained that he would remain in Umno. He said his absence from the leadership would enable him to speak freely by criticising policies.

Khairy, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah (Ku Li) and two other candidates lost to Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in the bid for the presidency in the Umno elections last June.

KUALA LUMPUR — Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin criticised today the public caning of two Terengganu women under Shariah law for attempting to have lesbian sex.

The Umno leader said Islam teaches one to respect the dignity of another, and to have mercy.

“There are other ways to handle the LGBT issue. Although it is enshrined in the laws, carrying out public caning should not have been done.

“Islam teaches us to look after the dignity of every human being. And that mercy is preferable to punishment,” Khairy wrote on his Twitter account in Malay, appending a news report of the women’s caning which took place this morning.

Earlier, two women’s rights groups slammed the Kuala Terengganu Shariah High Court for publicly caning the women today, describing the punishment as “a travesty and a grave miscarriage of justice”.

Justice for Sisters and Sisters in Islam said the punishment can only be meted against prisoners, but the duo were not imprisoned after they were charged and found guilty of attempting to have lesbian sex.

“Prison Act 1955 and Prison Regulations 2000 stipulates that caning can only be carried out against prisoners. As the sentences of the two women did not include imprisonment, they were not considered prisoners as defined by the Prison Act and Prison Regulations.

“This, despite the fact that they were sentenced to caning. The Kuala Terengganu Syariah High Court and Malaysian Prisons Department therefore may have acted against the law in its execution today,” they said in a joint statement.

The groups also questioned Putrajaya’s involvement in the events, since it was carried out by an officer from the Prisons Department under the Home Ministry

The two women were punished by six strokes of the cane, under Sections 30 and 59(1) of the Syariah Criminal Offences Enactment (Takzir) (Terengganu) 2001, after they pleaded guilty to lesbian sexual relations.

In addition to being caned, the women aged 22 and 32 were also required to pay a fine of RM3,300.

After today, Terengganu exco says public caning will no longer shock public

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 — A Terengganu executive councillor (exco) has said that the public will no longer be surprised by Shariah sentences such as public caning, after two women were punished there today.

Malaysiakini reported its exco in charge of Shariah implementation, Satiful Bahri Mamat as insisting that the punishment were not to hurt the women, but to educate the public.

“From what we can see today, I believe [such sentences] will no longer shock the public,” he reportedly said.

He also said that the caning served as a reminder to Muslims against committing ‘zina’, or illicit sex, labelling the offence as a “cancer that can spread in society”.

Additionally, Terengganu Bar chairman Sallehudin Harun reportedly said that today’s event will enlighten the public over the sentence.

“I was [initially] confused and thought that this was a heavy punishment. From what we saw today, the public would have a more positive picture,” he reportedly said.

Two women were punished by six strokes of the cane individually by a female caning officer from the Kajang Prison, after they were found guilty of committing lesbian sex.

Groups: Terengganu Shariah court defied law, caning only allowed against prisoners

KUALA TERENGGANU – The Kuala Terengganu Syariah High Court today executed six strokes of the cane against two women charged with “attempting to have sex” under Section 30 and 59(1) of the Syariah Criminal Offences (Takzir Terengganu). The caning contravenes several legal provisions, including the Prison Act 1995 and Prison Regulations 2000.

The women were each sentenced to a fine of RM3,300 and six strokes of the cane each on 12 August by syariah judge Kamalruazmi Ismail.

Prison Act 1955 and Prison Regulations 2000 stipulates that caning can only be carried out against prisoners. As the sentences of the two women did not include imprisonment, they were not considered prisoners as defined by the Prison Act and Prison Regulations. This, despite the fact that they were sentenced to caning. The Kuala Terengganu Syariah High Court and Malaysian Prison Department therefore may have acted against the law in its execution today.

Malaysia’s laws are inconsistent in relation to caning of women. Section 289 of the Criminal Procedure Code prohibits corporal punishment against female prisoners of any age. However, provisions under the syariah law allows women to be caned. These inconsistencies create confusion in the jurisdiction of the Prison Department thus directly affecting the rights of women in Malaysia protected by Article 8(2) of the Federal Constitution against gender discrimination.

The role of the federal government is brought into question as the unlawful execution was carried out by the Prison Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Questions are raised on why the execution was authorized and officers from the department appointed to carry out the sentence.

The execution that took place at the Kuala Terengganu Syariah High Court is a travesty and a grave miscarriage of justice.
