Akmal is the pot calling the kettle black
KUALA LUMPUR, April 14, 2024: The racial and religious bigoted Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh says the party youth wing is to file a report over a PAS man’s posting on the King.
But what about himself showing disrespect to the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) Sultan Ibrahim?
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his deputy (Umno president) Zahid Hamidi have both called on all to stop fanning racial and religious hatred.
The King has also twice made the same call but the beligerent Akmal continues to use racial and religious bigotry to serve his own selfish political agenda and interest, ignoring his threat to national unity and harmony.
And the Umno Supreme Council had also announced its full support for Akmal’s actions!!!
No News Is Bad News reproduces below the news report on Akmal’s use of 3R (Race, Religion, Royalty) for political mileage:
Umno Youth to file report over PAS man’s posting on king
-13 Apr 2024, 11:15 PM
Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh alleged that a posting by Hezry Yasin was an insult to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong as head of Islam in Malaysia.
Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh (left) said the posting by Hezry Yasin made an ‘excessive accusation’.
PETALING JAYA: Umno Youth will lodge a police report against a member of PAS Youth whose now-deleted Facebook posting stated his attitude towards prayers for sultans and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh alleged that the posting by Hezry Yasin had insulted the king as the head of Islam in Malaysia by accusing the king of failing to make Islam a priority.
“I have asked Johor Umno Youth leaders to file a police report over this excessive accusation made by this individual. We will defend our religion, race and royalty regardless of who you are,” Akmal said.
He posted an image of the posting by Hezry, who is Selangor PAS Youth assistant secretary.
Hezry purportedly said he had lowered his hands at Friday prayers in Johor when prayers were being made for the sultans, king and their families.
He said he was not being seditious. “Those who are willing, go ahead with the prayer, but for those who do not wish to do so, that is our right.”
However, he said he wanted a leader who is outspoken in defending Islam rather than one who remained quiet and allowed the people to be “condemned, insulted and ridiculed” while defending Islam.
The posting appears to have been deleted.
