Mr IGP! Just who are you trying to kid?

KUALA LUMPUR, April 3, 2024: Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Razarudin Husain says no police report was lodged against Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh for threatening national unity and harmony.

“According to standard procedure, the police will only initiate an investigation if a report is lodged,” he added.

Just who are you trying to kid? So, if a murder or crime has occurred and no police report is lodged, you don’t need to investigate? Or are you just waiting for casualties?

There have been many cases of police lodging their own reports to initiate investigations.

So, the racial and religious bigoted Akmal’s actions, threatening national unity and harmony is alright? Not important?

More than two weeks after Akmal sparked the Made-in-China Allah-brand socks controversy, no politician or political party has deemed it fit to lodge police reports against Akmal or Umno?

What is wrong with political parties and politicians from DAP, PKR, Amanah, PAS, Bersatu and all others? Baffling indeed.

They are all too scared of Akmal and Umno?

No wonder Akmal and Umno are emboldened to even issue veiled attacks against the safety of Malaysians, national unity and harmony.

These are what we are talking about:

Lawyer and social activist Siti Kasim said: "I recently saw a TikTok video where he (Akmal) was seen calling the Malays to be ready. He was seen sharpening a parang ... this is something the police must act on.

"It is like he is instigating the Malays to create problems. Islam never teaches us all this," said Siti.

A senator has asked why Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh has yet to be investigated for sedition after posting a picture of himself holding a sword on Facebook. Akmal had posted the picture, taken during a recent trip to Japan, on March 14. The picture was captioned: “No matter what, we will not waver from our stance. Better to die standing than live kneeling.”

We are pretty sure if someone else had done the same, police would have zoomed in to catch the ikan bilis (anchovies), with or without a police report. The ikan jerung (sharks), like Akmal), are untouchables?

Meanwhile, taking the cue from Akmal and Umno, bigoted Malaysians have started taking the law into their own hands by “bombing” KK Mart outlets nationwide. To date, three KK Mart outlets (in Bidor, Perak, Kuantan Pahang and Kuching, Sarawak) have been attacked.

Top cop Razarudin Husain responds to Senator Ti Lian Ker’s inquiry on why the Umno Youth chief has yet to be investigated for sedition.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain says the police will only initiate an investigation if a report is lodged.

PETALING JAYA: The police have received no reports on Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh’s Facebook post of a photo of himself wielding a sword, says Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain.

He was responding to Senator Ti Lian Ker’s inquiry on why the Merlimau assemblyman had yet to be investigated for sedition.

Razarudin told FMT that according to standard procedure, the police will only initiate an investigation if a report is lodged.

On March 14, Akmal uploaded a photo of himself wielding a sword on a recent trip to Japan with the caption: “No matter what, we will not waver from our stance. Better to die standing than live kneeling.”

Ti later asked why Akmal was not investigated or warned, while DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang faced interrogation simply for “translating the constitution”.

In December last year, Bukit Aman confirmed that it would record Lim’s statement in response to comments he made on his blog regarding the possibility of a non-Malay becoming the prime minister.

Criminal investigation department deputy director Rosdi Isa said Lim had touched on constitutional issues.

Lim himself said he was accused of inciting provocation, but insisted that it was not his intention.
