Give the bigots and Umno the boot on April 26

KUALA LUMPUR, March 7, 2025: April 26 is the opportunity and time for multiracial Malaysians who treasure national unity and harmony to condemn racial and religious bigoted parties.

The Ayer Kuning by-election in Perak provides that opportunity for Malaysians to dump the racist Umno led by its Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh.

Pakatan Harapan (PH) is unlikely to contest the seat because Umno is defending the seat following the death of Ishsam Shahruddin on Feb 22.

Since the Taliban-like PAS and the Perikatan Nasional (PN) led by the racist and unpatrotic Muhyiddin “I Am Malay” First Yassin are also unaccptable to multiracial Malaysians, the only choice left, hopefully, is a third party or an influencial and acceptable Independent.

Show the racial and religious bigots that multiracial Malaysians have had enough of their bigotry that threatens national unity and harmony daily.

Nomination day will be April 12 and early voting is set for April 22.

The Ayer Kuning by-election was called following the death of assemblyman Ishsam Shahruddin on Feb 22.

PETALING JAYA: The by-election for the Ayer Kuning state seat in Perak will be held on April 26, the Election Commission (EC) announced today.

In a press conference at the EC headquarters this morning, EC chairman Ramlan Harun said nominations would be held on April 12, with early voting on April 22.

The by-election follows the death of Umno assemblyman Ishsam Shahruddin on Feb 22.

Ishsam won the seat in the last general election with a 2,213-majority in a five-cornered contest.

Ramlan said overseas voters could apply for postal ballots online starting today. Applications will close on March 20.

He said there are 31,897 registered voters in Ayer Kuning.

It will cost RM2.5 million to run the by-election, with 601 officers to be appointed to manage the relevant affairs.

Opportunity for Malaysians to show Umno rakyat (people) is the boss

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28, 2025The Election Commission (EC) is meeting next Friday to fix the date for the Ayer Kuning by-election.

It is a golden opportunity to show the racist and bigoted Umno who is the boss.

Multiracial Malaysians who treasure national unity and harmony should cast their ballots wisely to show Umno that there is no room for racial and religious bigots like their youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh.

So, dump both Umno, the Taliban-like PAS and Perikatan Nasional led by the racist and unpatriotic Muhyiddin "I Am Malay First" Yassin, hopefully for a third party or Independent.

Keep this political flame burning in honour and memory of the late ABU founder:

This follows the death of assemblyman Ishsam Shahruddin on Feb 22.

The Election Commission is expected to announce the nomination and polling dates for the Ayer Kuning by-election after the meeting.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Election Commission will hold a special meeting on March 7 to discuss the Ayer Kuning state by-election in Perak.

EC secretary Ikmalrudin Ishak said the meeting follows the notice on the vacancy of the seat after the death of the assemblyman, Ishsam Shahruddin, on Feb 22.

He said the commission received the official notification from Perak state assembly speaker Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid.

“As stipulated under Article XXXVI (5), Part 1 of the Perak Constitution, the vacant seat must be filled within 60 days from the date the EC confirms the vacancy,” Ikmalrudin said in a statement today.

A press conference will be held after the special meeting to possibly announce the nomination and polling dates for the by-election.

Ishsam, 59, died of a heart attack following a friendly football match in George Town, Penang, last Saturday.

He had served as Tapah Umno division chief since 2018 and won the Ayer Kuning seat in the 15th general election in November 2022 with a 2,213-vote majority in a five-cornered contest.

Is Umno’s interest demi rakyat dan negara?

KUALA LUMPUR, April 14, 2024: The above info image was found posted on Facebook.

The accuracy of its contents has not been verified. But if it’s true, then it is even more crucial for Malaysians to dump Umno totally in the next general election, due in 2027.

The more than six-decade-old political party does not know the difference between governing Malaysia and party matters and interest.

If it can cheat in general elections, Umno is capable of cheating Malaysians.

And, currently, Umno fully supports its racial and religious bigoted youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh’s actions that threaten national unity and harmony.

Is Umno’s interest and agenda demi rakyat dan negara (for people and country)?

It is time for Malaysians to revive the late lawyer activist Haris Ibrahim’s political rallying call ABU (Anything But Umno).
