Loke, the DAP’s No.1 political lapdog to Umno and PKR, will lead his party to the same fate as MCA and MIC

KUALA LUMPUR, March 17, 2025: Former DAP strongman Lim Guan Eng must not waste any time to restore his party’s image as a champion for multiracial Malaysians.

He is now the only “old guard” left in the DAP Central Executive Committee (CEC) who is not a “:Yes Man” to Umno, PKR or Pakatan Harapan (PH).

The CEC is now dominated by the “Minister Cluster” who only care for their cushy positions in the government (state and federal), just like what the MCA minister were in the Barisan Nasional (BN) governments.

And that is why their mouth are zipped and they do not have the courage to say the right things or crtiscise the racial and religioius bigots, especially those from Umno.

In short, multiracial Malaysians now cannot rely on the DAP leaders to protect their democratic rights.

In the DAP, the most powerful man is the secretary-general and that is Seremban’s Anthony Loke Siew Fook, the Transport Minister.

Under him, DAP politicate fate is heading the same direction as the MCA and MIC.

In fact, Loke is trying very, very hard to outdo MCA and MIC as a government political lapdog.

A DAP secretary-general, Anthony Loke, that spells doom for the party.

No News Is Bad News reproduces above an image found on Facebook and an open message to Guan Eng that is being circulated in WhatsApp:

Mr Guan Eng

To those who are happy Guan Eng is out ( almost out), I say to them, "You are wrong. Lim Guan Eng will be back, as he is the soul of the party."

You want new leadership; yes, you can have that, but DAP will not be the same after this. Guan Dng had successfully moulded DAP politics into an identity without which it will be another PKR or Umno

We need politicians with aspirations and dreams for a young nation like Malaysia. It does not matter if you are from DAP PAS or UMNO. Guan Eng is such a voice

The cacophony of different voices will cause conflicts but not for long. It will merge into a singularity called a nation. We have to go through that process, which may be difficult. It will take time

If party leaders want shortcuts and give priority to “ stability”( and who are clever at compromises), we will have no identity to show. We will have an aggregation of business interests

Malaysians who have short memories will celebrate Guan Eng's departure, but I hope he will make a comeback.

And, this one is from a Sarawakian journalist Francis Siah who is also with MOCS (Movement Of Change Sarawak):

OF LIM GUAN ENG AND THE FUTURE OF DAP

While I think that LGE should just let go now, as a revolt against his leadership from within DAP is for real, I also believe that all should respect his right to go down fighting, if he has to.

Still, LGE is not the main problem in the DAP today.

I see a different DAP today, with or without LGE. DAP politicians are a different breed today – they see politics as a career rather than a cause.

One would have easily noticed by now that with ministerial positions and control in certain states, some DAP politicians now enjoy the trappings of power and this has eroded the sense of sacrifice that once defined the party. There are very few DAP politicians today with the kind of personal sacrifices seen in earlier generations.

I believe the key challenge today is whether DAP can maintain its ideological purity and commitment to the people while adapting to a new political landscape.

DAP is at a crossroads. If its leaders do not take decisive action to address these challenges, it risks following MCA and Gerakan into political irrelevance. – fs
