"OMG! NAJIB CAMP WAGES ‘WAR’ ON CATHOLICS: ATTACK DOG TUNKU AZIZ TELLS BISHOP OF MALACCA & JOHOR TO ‘REPENT’
Politics | October 22, 2016 by | 0 Comments
Malacca and Johor Catholic Diocese Bishop Bernard Paul is urged to look into his church affairs rather than involving himself in politics.
He should be concerned about corruption in the Catholic Church, the Vatican, the sexual abuse of boys under their care by Catholic priests reported widely around the world.
This man is a disgrace to the cassock he dons, trying to ape (no pun intended) Cardinal Sin who inspired Mrs. Aquino’s yellow shirts to bring down the dictator Ferdinand Marcos.
He should give up his priesthood and become a full time opposition politician and wear a XXXL yellow T-shirt to cover his sins and shame.
The wayward Bishop needs to be reminded that Malaysia is not a Catholic majority country.
He should concentrate on his religious pastoral duties and obligations to his flock and keep out of politics and stop hiding behind the sanctity of the church to promote hate and disunity in society.
The Vatican should investigate this man of God and so should the police. He is posing a serious threat to peace and security.
It is a fact many churches, especially the Catholic houses of worship, have often offered their pulpits to individuals promoting anti-Islam and Umno.
They should ponder and reflect seriously upon the consequences of desecrating the House of Christ and undermining peace on earth.
Repent Bishop!

"CLUMSY NAJIB TRIES TO BE WILY BUT THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG: BUDGET 2017 IS AN ELECTION BUDGET IN DISGUISE – BRACE FOR GE14 EARLY NEXT YEAR
Politics | October 22, 2016 by | 0 Comments
KUALA LUMPUR ― Many of the policies announced under Budget 2017 were populist and intended to placate voter segments crucial to Barisan Nasional (BN), analysts said.
The increase in the 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M) cash handout programme and incentives for civil servants were clear indicators that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had tabled a federal budget with the elections in mind, according to pundits polled by Malay Mail Online.
“It can be considered as populist as they still try to give something back to the critical segments despite the constraints the government is facing,” Ibrahim Suffian, director of independent pollster Merdeka Centre, said.
“I think there were plenty of signals to indicate that he is preparing for elections…you can see that the budget was intentionally holistic,” Samsu Adabi Mamat, analyst with Universiti Teknologi Mara, told Malay Mail Online.
Najib unveiled a RM260.8 billion budget yesterday, 3.4 per cent higher than the 2016 revised budget with higher allocations for one of the current administration’s most controversial programmes, BR1M.
Allocation for BR1M was increased to RM6.8 billion for next year from RM5.4 billion in 2016.
The increase, between RM50 and RM200, will see low-income households earning below RM3,000 monthly get a one-off handout of RM1,200 while households earning between RM3,000 and RM4,000 monthly will get RM900. Single individuals will get a one-off RM450.
Samsu said apart from BR1M, Najib also announced incentives for civil servants, teachers and religious leaders, demographics crucial to Umno.
“It’s quite wide-reaching. From small businesses to rural voters, I think he is targeting almost all segments of society,” he said.
But Ibrahim argued these incentives were minimal and that a smaller development allocation meant lesser funds for “patronage”.
“On the face of it though, aside from the BR1M payouts, the other handouts are limited. More critically is the small (17 per cent) development budget. Means less cash to go around for patronage”.
Whether or not policies like BR1M could boost Najib’s popularity enough to secure his coalition a comfortable victory in the 14th general election, due by 2018, is uncertain.
But economists say data proved the programme to be effective in helping the bottom 40 per cent cope with cost of living.
“Handouts do work (judging) from the experience of even other countries. And there is data to prove it,” Norhisham Hussein, head economist of Employees Provident Fund, told Malay Mail Online.
The Ministry of Finance in its 2016/17 economic report said the immediate impact of BR1M is reflected by an increase in household disposable income of the bottom 40 per cent, which in turn translates into higher purchase of essential items such as food and housing.
“This can indirectly spur the domestic economic activities through an increase in production of consumer goods,” it said in its Malaysia Economic Report 2016/2017 that was released publicly yesterday.

"NAJIB MAKES DOUBLE HISTORY – WORLD’S BIGGEST KLEPTOCRAT & FAILURE TO ACHIEVE DR M’S VISION 2020: WITH ONLY 3 YEARS TO GO, WAS VISION 2020 SUNK BY 1MDB THIEVERY
Politics | October 22, 2016 by | 0 Comments
Today’s budget presentation in Parliament by the Prime Minister-cum-Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, makes dubious history.
I have personally seen some 42 Budget presentations in Parliament since my first election as MP, and this is the first time that a budget has attracted such derision because of its double absence of credibility – over the budget itself and the presenter of the budget.
This is why for the first time in Malaysia’s parliamentary history since Merdeka in 1957, there is a mass protest walk-out of Opposition MPs in Parliament during the presentation of the Budget!
Why had such protest walk-outs of MPs not happened in past budget presentations by past Finance Ministers?
Najib’s 2017 Budget makes double history – the first budget since Malaysia had acquired the infamy of being regarded world-wide as a “global kleptocracy” as well as going down in history as one where Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak admits failure and repudiates Vision 2020 by announcing his own Vision 2050!
Najib’s repudiation of Vision 2020 was done in a very wily manner.
It was made at the end of his 2017 Budget speech, to a chamber of mostly BN or pro-BN MPs as over 70 Opposition MPs had staged a protest walk-out of the Parliament Chamber, and in a very indirect but most craven manner – as he did not have the courage to openly and directly repudiate Vision 2020 but had to resort to the sleight-of-hand of not mentioning Vision 2020 at all when announcing his new Vision 2050.
But there can be no doubt that Najib as good as repudiated former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s Vision 2020 when he announced his new vision, Transformasi Nasional 2050 (National Transformation 2050 – TN 50) as the new national lodestone for the next three decades when he said:
“From now on, TN50 is our lucky charm. Let the old legacy pass. The future of Malaysia, we Recreate.”
It is most shocking that Najib could so cavalierly and unceremoniously repudiated Vision 2020 when only in the last budget presentation last year, he reiterated his commitment to achieve Vision 2020 and the goal of a developed nation status.
What has happened to the 11th Malaysia Plan which Najib had announced in Parliament in March last year as “the final lap” in the country’s march to achieving developed nation status in 2020?
Has he abandoned both Vision 2020 and its final lap?
Have MCA, Gerakan, MIC and the Sabah and Sarawak Barisan Nasional component parties agreed to the failure and repudiation of Vision 2020 or is this another example of UMNO hegemony in Barisan Nasional, where the UMNO dictates as to what should be the Barisan Nasional policy and direction and the other 12 Barisan Nasional component parties just obey and follow?
If Vision 2020 is a national failure, is there a review and post-mortem as to why Vision 2020 had failed in its 30-Year Plan to achieve fully-developed nation status for Malaysia , with a more united Malaysian citizenry and democratic polity?
Malaysians have a right to know why the 30-year Vision 2020 had failed before they embrace and embark on Najib’s 34-year Vision 2050 – whether Transformasi Nasional 2050 or Deformasi Nasional 2050!

"THE PM & THE VIRGIN & HER ‘NASI LEMAK’: 24-YEAR-OLD SITI HAJJAR FLATTERED BY NAJIB’S COMPLIMENTS DURING SPEECH
Politics | October 22, 2016 by | 0 Comments
SHAH ALAM 21 OCTOBER 2016. Pemilik Nasi Lemak Anak Dara, Siti Hajjar Ahmad. STR/MUHAMMAD SULAIMAN
SHAH ALAM – For Siti Hajjar Ahmad, better known as the woman behind the popular ‘Nasi Lemak Anak Dara’, being mentioned as a good entrepreneurial example by the Prime Minister during the 2017 Budget tabling today, was not even a remote possibility two months ago.
The 24-year-old university graduate started the business to help her mother, and never thought her effort would draw the attention of many, much less the prime minister.
Siti Hajjar said she was speechless upon learning that her name was mentioned by Datuk Seri Najib Razak. She said she happy and proud at the same time.
“I decided to sell nasi lemak after graduating from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn so as to not waste time, and to also help my mother, while waiting for a job offer.
“My friends were of great help. They were the ones who loaned me RM500 to start, which I used to buy my cooking utensils, pots and pans, as well as the tables and chairs at my stall.
“Recipe-wise, I’m grateful for my mother, who was more than willing to share her secrets in making delicious nasi lemak has been a family staple for years,” she said when met at the PKNS Complex parking area, today.
Siti Hajjar was participating in the four-day Best Street Food Festival, which started on Thursday. She said her mother’s sambal recipe was the secret to the business’s success.
The electronic engineering graduate said she did not have any experience in business, but regarded it as a challenge. Siti Hajjar said fresh graduates should not be afraid to venture into business instead of waiting around for jobs, especially in the current sluggish economic climate.
“Don’t be ashamed to do business. Take the risk and just go with the flow. “Of course, we will make mistakes but it is through mistakes that we will learn how to survive.”

"IS THIS ‘DEDAK’? NAJIB DROPS BONANZA WINDFALL INTO SALLEH KERUAK’S LAP, MCMC TO GET HUMONGOUS RM1 BIL ALLOCATION
Politics | October 22, 2016 by | 0 Comments
PETALING JAYA – The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will be allocated RM1 billion to improve coverage and increase broadband speed, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak.
He said as an open democratic nation, the government aspires to enhance the online information transmission channel.
“MCMC will provide RM1 billion to ensure the coverage and quality of broadband nationwide reaches up to 20 megabytes per second,” he said in his 2017 Budget speech in Parliament today.
Najib, who is also Finance Minister, further noted that effective January 2017, fixed line broadband service providers will offer services at a higher speed for the same price.
“For example, those who subscribe to a five megabytes per-second package at RM149 will enjoy a package with twice the speed, which is 10 megabytes per- second.
“Within the next two years, the speed for this package will be doubled with a price reduction of 50%,” he added.THE SUNDAILY/Malaysia Chronicle"
