George Soros blasts 1MDB PM Najib!

Finance Twitter has posted a news wrap-up cum analysis of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) Prime Minister Najib Razak’s ongoing financial saga.

Who’s the most powerful person in the United States of America? We were told that the president was the man but based on recent bombshells unleashed by WikiLeaks, we aren’t sure anymore. Based on email leaks from Podesta files dump so far, we roughly know who will be the most powerful person in the U.S., and it’s neither Hillary Clinton nor Donald Trump.

Regardless of who wins the 2016 Presidential Election, the most powerful man in the U.S. is billionaire George Soros. Sure, his title isn’t that glamorous but as the “Shadow President of USA”, he can ask the new POTUS – Clinton or Trump – to trim his garden’s grass (*grin*). The ongoing files dump on John Podesta shows Soros being the leader of “a shadow government”.



John Podesta is critical in the battle for the U.S. presidency because he is the Chairman of Hillary Clinton presidential campaign and former Counsellor to President Barack Obama. Therefore, his emails carry extreme values. To a certain extent, Podesta acts as the messenger boy between the U.S. president and the “shadow government”.

We knew TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) was President Barack Hussein Obama’s pet project. We also knew Hillary had initially praised the TPP project as if it was the best invention since sliced bread, calling it the “gold standard”of trade deals. That was when Clinton was the Secretary of State, hence the needs to suck up to her boss.


After Clinton jumped into the presidential race, she made a U-turn and declared that she opposed the trade pact TPP. Of course, she merely pretends to be anti-TPP because the 12-nation free trade agreement would cost hermillions of union votes. If Hillary is elected president, she will almost certainly revert back to TPP, or at least some of TPP formulas.

What we don’t know, until the latest Podesta files dump, is that George Soros has taken a personal interest, so much so that he was offended that President Obama was willing to bend over by embracing and supporting Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak’s racism, corruption, kickbacks, patronage and “vote buying” – in exchange for TPP.


A March 2016 email published by WikiLeaks reveals that George Soros, in anticipation of a meeting with Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, requested Podesta read a memo titled –“The TPP and Malaysia’s Corruption Crisis” – which argues that President Obama has wrongfully chosen to befriend and support the Government of Malaysia under Prime Minister Najib Razak.

The memo, authored by John Pang – a board member at Soros’ Open Society Foundation and a senior fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Singapore – said that Najib is “a poster boy for the 21st century kleptocracy” who has used “a racial supremacist ideology that is collapsing under the weight of corruption” to perpetuate himself in power.


More importantly, the memo argues that PM Najib has created “a Malay-Islamic state in which Sunni Islam’s supremacy is indivisible from the political and legal supremacy of the Malay race, resulting in 1 in 10 Muslims hadfavorable views of ISIS and that a 53% majority were in favour ofimplementing Hudud, the Islamic penal code.”

On the subject of radicalization, the memo says Obama was naive because through Najib administration, Malaysia is a “net exporter” of militants to Indonesia and Mindanao. The government estimates that there are 50,000 ISIS sympathizers in Malaysia, including members of the military. At least 12% of Malaysian Muslims had favorable attitudes towards IS compared to 4% in Indonesia.


Soros also lectured Obama on Najib’s corruption, quoting Mr. Jose Ugaz, chairman of Transparency International (TI), who has singled out Mr. Najib as a prime example of national leaders in developing countries who have“become so corrupt that they endanger both citizens and society.” When Ugaz delivered his speech in Malaysia last September, PM Najib had chosen to go into hiding.

Through the memo, John Podesta was made to understand that George Soros knew about the explosive 1MDB scandal, and how the Malaysian prime minister had replaced the Attorney-General unlawfully, removed the lead investigators and intimidated the leadership of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and the Central Bank.


A new Attorney-General selected and appointed by Najib has unilaterallycleared him of wrongdoing but instead proposes life-imprisonment for whistle-blowers under the Official Secrets Act (OSA) and punishment for journalists who refuse to reveal their sources. This has plunged the country into its deepest political crisis in 45 years.

The memo says the only thing standing between Najib and arrest for criminal breach of trustand possibly murder is the control of the Attorney-General and the Chief of Police. Soros reminds Obama that Najib’s actions, including his conduct of foreign affairs since the 1MDB ‘”donations” fiasco must be interpreted as his personal calculations for survival, not as foreign policy conducted in the Malaysian interest.


Malaysia has the worst human trafficking problem in Southeast Asia. Despite that, Obama administration upgraded Malaysia from Tier 3 Watch List to Tier 2 on the TIP Watch List in June last year. It appears Soros knew about the 139 mass grave sites of the victims of trafficking which were discovered on the Thai-Malaysian Border.

An immigrant himself, George Soros was offended that despite reports Malaysian government officials were key participants in human trafficking, not to mention 160 members of the House of Representatives and 18 senators had written a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry last year saying Malaysia should remain on Tier 3 Watch List, President Obama had done the opposite.


In his attempt to suck up to Najib, Obama was accused by Soros of willinglybecome Najib’s puppet. While Obama was desperate to swing Malaysia away from China through TPP, Soros believes Obama was a fool to believe he could get Najib’s undivided loyalty simply because the highly corrupt Malaysian prime minister is extremely desperate himself.

The 1MDB scandal left enormous government liabilities that need to be made up to avert financial collapse. While keeping the US administration sympathetic over the TPP, Najib has been cutting big deals with Chinese companies to bail out 1MDB, so much so that he waived Malaysia’s foreign ownership cap to sell 1MDB’s power assets to China General Nuclear Power (CGN).

 
Since Najib assumed power, Malaysia has been home to some of the most outrageousviolations of human rights – disguised in the name of Islam. Among them are the arrests of a rapper for using the word “Allah” in a rap song and the arrest of a teenage girl for hugging a pop singer in public, among others.

Najib administration also witnessed protests against another teenage girl for hugging a dog (dogs are considered “unclean” in Islam), the banning of the phrase “hot dog” as it confused Muslims into thinking they were actually eating dog meat, widespread protests against Cadbury chocolate, and the arrests of couples celebrating St. Valentine’s Day.

 

Here are George Soros recommendations to President Barack Obama: stay away from Najib Razak. The billionaire also asks Obama to demand the release of opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim.
