1MDB PM Najib urges Malaysians to sacrifice but what about wife Rosmah?
1MDB PM Najib urges Malaysians to sacrifice but what about wife Rosmah?

We leave it to others to do the honours, a malaysiakini writer’s commentary as reproduced by the Malaysian-banned online news portal Malaysia Chronicle:
"IN FRONT OF ‘ALLAH’, NAJIB URGES SACRIFICE – YET HIS WIFE SPLASHES MILLIONS ON CLOTHES, SHOES, DIAMONDS…

American daily The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) claimed that the embattled Malaysian prime minister’s wife, Rosmah Mansor, splashed a whopping “US$6 miĺlion on clothes, shoes and jewellery” between 2008 and 2015.
Najib Abdul Razak in his message to citizens and especially to Muslims on this globally revered celebration, Aidiladha, preached sacrifices that should be the hallmark in Malaysia.
But gleaning from the WSJ expose, it is very clear that his spouse is more into an addictive spendrift bash.
Oh my God, Rosmah Mansor is spending about RM3 million a year on clothes, jewellery and shoes. Oh my God, that even puts world infamous Imelda Marcos to pale into the shadows of extravagance.
Now, with your very hard working husband (who recently admitted he has to work more hours, days and weeks), whose salary is just about RM400,000 a year, how and where on earth did you get some RM3 million each year to fete your addiction?
Now, maybe the foreign newspaper is diabolically telling lies? Maybe, this is all part of an American ‘infidel’ attempting to destroy Muslims, especially when the news follows hot on the heels of the PM’s call for sacrifices on this revered Islamic celebration?
Rosmah, who like her husband is also embroilled in controversies after controversies as far as the ‘mudah lupa’ (conveniently forgetting) Malaysians will admit, will need to urgently summon her aide, and all the machinery within the Prime Minister’s Office’s affordabilty, to respond to this yet again another shocking news.
To merely deny is not enough
To merely deny is not enough. To merely scream that the ‘Malay Muslims are under threat’ (as was done previously) is also not enough. To counter challenge by claiming it is her own investment savings or heirloom is not going work again.
To keep quiet and hope that Malaysians will soon ‘lupa lah’ (easily forget) is equally risky, just as much as peddling another propoganda shock to take the heat off Rosmah’s back is even more risky.
It is the responsibility of the government of Malaysia to act immediately in the best interest of the nation’s good name.
The 1MDB scandal has already made mincemeat of the country’s integrity in the eyes of the global community. And legal suits are still not there, despite so much of published, earthquake exposes.
We cannot, as patriortic citizens, keep paying all kinds of taxes, lie low and be burried in our daily pursuits of putting food on the table for day-to-day living, while some peple have millions of ringgit to spend impulsively.
Najib must either sue the pants off WSJ, if what is published are ll lies so as to restore not only his endearing wife’s good name, but also to save the citizens who are being shamed.
If it is proven true beyond doubt that Rosmah did live beyond her means and at the expense of the suffering citizens, then better for Najib to step down, or at the least the Council of Rulers step forward, in the best interest of their faithful subjects and the sovereign good name of Malaysia.
We have been talking, talking and talking expose after expose and still no right action has been coming from the rakyat despite so many by-elections; nor have we seen any right action from the Prime Minister’s Office to resurrect our dignity and honor.
Malaysia, Oh Malaysia!
