No News Is Bad News is just posting the above video clip for readers’ viewing on the significance of the politically historic handshake in a court room on Sept 5, 2016, between Anwar Ibrahim and Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
The handshake has jolted 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) Prime Minister Najib Razak and his Umno-led Barisan Nasional ruling coalition to respond vigorously with political statements akin to campaigning for the country’s next general election i.e. the 14th General Election (GE14) which is only due in March 2018.
It has also given rise to speculations of Najib having to call for snap GE14 in December, next March or even June, to consolidate his premiership while the Opposition is still in disarray or disunited.
