This is why 1MDB PM Najib’s BN is set to win handsomely in GE14
In this blog posting, No News Is Bad News is not doing any writing or commentary.
Instead, we are reproducing a pro-Barisan Nasional (BN) website report to stress our point why 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) Prime Minister Najib Razak is set to lead BN to a convincing snap 14th General Election (GE14) victory (Read this for context: http://victorlim2016.blogspot.my/2016/09/yes-1mdb-pm-najib-is-set-to-call-for.html).
Although the report is from a website funded by a BN coalition party to serve its political propaganda needs for GE14, nevertheless it reflects the current state of the Opposition parties in Malaysia:
"OPPOSITION TOO DEEPLY SPLIT? ‘EVEN IF THEY WIN GE14, THEY CANNOT GOVERN SMOOTHLY’

The recent public spat between DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and political activist S. Ambiga over cooperation with Dr Mahathir Mohamad has exposed the deep division in the opposition block.
It also showed that former Premier Mahathir is using his party, Pribumi to meddle into Pakatan Harapan affairs and take charge of the opposition political direction.
Penang MCA deputy chairman Tan Teik Cheng pointed out that the political disagreements and differences among opposition parties were more serious than first imagined.
“Even if they win in the next general election, they cannot govern the country smoothly due to internal strife. The country would fall into chaos. On the contrary, BN is as firm as ever and it is a political coalition for national progress,” he said today.
Besides Penang Chief Minister Guan Eng spat with National Human Rights Society president Ambiga over Mahathir, he noted that DAP and PKR had differences on the snap polls proposed by the DAP, first in Penang and now in Selangor.
Tan also fired a broadside at DAP leaders Lim Kit Siang and his son Guan Eng for being addicted to snap polls, and noted that while the father wooed Pribumi to join Pakatan Harapan, Guan Eng had arrogantly and publicly condemned Ambiga for working with Mahathir.
He said Guan Eng had condemned Mahathir as the “root” of all problems and corruption in the country.
“It is clear that Pakatan Harapan has reached a dead end and will certainly collapse in the next general election,” said Tan.
“The proposed Penang snap poll was to save Lim Guan Eng and his personal interest. Pribumi only wants to overthrow the Prime Minister Najib for personal political interests. All these have disappointed the people.”
He pointed out Mahathir, when was the prime minister for 22 years, put Kit Siang and PKR’s de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim to jail, but now the trio were collaborating.

“Why should people support these political leaders, who put personal agenda first before national interests?” asked Tan.
He said PAS’ hudud and other issues had seriously affected Pakatan Harapan, especially on allocation of seats in general election.
“If the opposition parties win in the next general election, the disputes between the parties will become uglier and obviously Malaysia will then fall into deep water.”
Hence, Tan called on voters to support BN, which had proven to rule the country all these years with moderate approach.
Under BN rule, he said the people of all ethnicities in the country can continue to maintain their respective identities and pursue their own cultural rights and freedom.
“The matured and wise voters should reject the opposition parties, who can never reach a consensus, and will destroy Malaysia,” said Tan.
